wouldnt yours be 3:23s? i think mine are 3:08s. someone posted a big thing on here about all the gears in our trucks. i think it was red or squirrel.
Sorry, not me this time.
Just curious...Yank's website supposedly tells you the best converter for your truck based partly on your gears.
ALso, and this may sound ignorant (because I am) I assume mine has the 4L60E tranny, but is there a way to confirm?
Crawl up under there and read what is cast onto the side of it. It will say if its a 60 or 65. All you have to do is listen.

Still split between the Yank and Fuddle!!! I hate decisions.
Yeah, me to. I impulse buy instead of making an informed decision. :whack:

as far as i know, regular half tons still come with 60Es. the vortec maxx/vho, escalade, SS, denali, H2 have the 65E. the 6.0 HDs have the 80E. the duramax and 8.1 have the allison.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(rumblebox @ Jul 4 2006, 03:27 PM) </div>whats the allison?Quote:

That Detroit Allison is one hell of a transmission but I don't think you can do anything with it unless you have a deisel engine. It also has an external controller.
it's a superduperheavy duty 5 speed automatic found in 01-05HDs and a 6 speed with tap shift in the 06+. it's the same brand that's used in big trucks.

unless you have an 8.1 or diesel, it's too much of a power sucker.
haha i wonder what kind of power it would consume in my 4.3. im sure it wouldnt even fit anyway, but if it did.

I was on another website and they listed 4L80E transmissions in fullsize Chevy vans with V6s. There's you an option.
hahahah yea i saw one of those once. it was like a 94 one ton van with a 4.3. i floored it and kids on tricycles were passing me up.

That's because you have a Wait4Me tune...lol
:taunt:
I'm totally kidding dude. I appreciate your response and actually wrote down the info you posted so I could go look.
So for the record, thank you motox!!!! :thumb:
Nitrous =:rofl: motoxlifer =:cry: LMFAO!!!!!!!!! !!!!
Yeah I'm just messin with ya.
I took the wait4me out of my sig and I'm still being discriminated against :bs:
Wait, I thought I did. There now it's gone, can I get some respect now?
I guess we shouldn't say anything considering the 1/8 mile times you were laying down with the w4m tune.

Go ahead try me.
Allen, I'm going to get down there as soon as Fuddle gets my converter to me. I'll just have you install it and play with the tune some more/check the A/F Ratio, etc.
I'm also going to get a cooler and possibly (undecided) a deeper pan.
Ah Hell, Moze, next week you may be selling your truck and driving a Camry.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(RedHeartbeat @ Jul 5 2006, 06:38 PM) </div>THAT, I promise you, I will NOT be doing. :nono:Quote:
