thinking of selling my 6.0 lq4. any takers???

i have a 03 lq4 6.0. needs cam bearings, has 18,000 on it. i have the engine tore down to the short block to inspect. i dont have time to install into my 92 k1500 blazer, so i think i might sell it. i have the complete take out, coils, intake manifolds late and early. fuel pump, computer, new waterpump, custom bracket to mount
tbi 350 a/c to the right side cylinder head!!!, it has the bigger cam then older 6.0, its the same specs as the ls1 , can get wiring harness and throttle body (cable or fly by wire)
could also install new cambearings and reassemble engine w/new gaskets, also if somebody needs i can get all the wiring diagrams and pinout sheets for this engine and most older gm trucks.... if you need help wiring it. its not too bad just time consuming. .... also have all exhaust manifolds and shields. . ... its a complete swap less flywheel. TAKING OFFERS,,, THE ENGINE IS IN SPOKANE WASHINGTON,, can ship but you would have to get that part handled...i need money for my new house i just dont want to deal w/ebay tring to sell it. i have no problems putting it all back together in running condition, its what i do for a living, pluss i think the people on this web bord will enjoy it better than some nobody off e-bay :rock:

what ever i can get out of it. if it goes as is than CHEEP. if i get new head bolts,gaskets, cambearings, and reassemble it than it will be something like 250.00-300.00 more than CHEEP. i know somebody needs it here... can go either way assembled or apart it makes no difference, i need money for the new parts so that would be about the only difference.(not up front money) only pay after its together...

if i spent less time building cool trucks for every body else i might have time to do something cool myself. i know this is a gm truck site but when i get this jeep thing done that i built i have to post a pic,,, 1991 jeep wrangler, 2005 lq4 6.0, 2004 h2 4L65e, hummer floor shifter, atlas II transfer case, 6.5" lift, dana 60 axles,
super swampers, its out of the body shop now, painted, i am going to install the axles tommorow. the good thing is that the more side work i do the more stuff i will have left over for the people that really need it&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33; like in here...i got some cool parts comming up....whipple charger for a 7.4 vortec?????,,,anybody need that??? abs brake module 99 k1500???? front diff parts 1500???? lockers 8.5/8.625/9.5???? detroit truetrac 8.5-8.625???? 3.73 front gears, 3.42 front and rear gears????........its freekin crazy how much stuff builds up after working on gm trucks for 15 years... i&#39;m tired of looking at all this stuff, my new 4 car garage wont have any car parts in it at all, just cars (all the parts will be in a room, i bleed oil, tools for life) :rock:

I would b e interested in that truetrac for the right price. Assuming it would fit my 10 bolt in my rcsb?

let me dig it out, clean it up, & inspect it. i had it for the front of my jeep but truetracks only lock-up to about 80-20 due to the fact that they are a limited slip, not a locker. they work great for a street truck but in a hardcore off-road rig they just work the way i needed, i needed something to lock up solid so i stuck a lockright in (it work great but DAM its hard to turn now). it came out of a 97 yukon, i think it still works in the 99 and up 8.625 axles, all you need is the correct side bearing to make it fit the housing.(the 8.5 and newer 8.625 are damnear the same axle) i will check on monday and get back to you.

i have a 91 c1500 and am insterested in one of the lockers i think i have a 8.5 rear end, not exaclty sure, but if you know and it was at the right price..thanks

a 91 could have 1 of 3 rear axles. if it was made and sold in mexico it has a dana 44(i bet some of you didnt know that???) standard 1500 has 8.5" some 7200lb gvw 1500 had 9.5" rear axles
this is a 8.5" (or 8.625" in a 99 and newer)(10 bolt)

i have one each factory eaton locker, 8.5 and 9.5 also have a trutrac 8.5 but sounds like it may be sold.

I&#39;ve got a 90&#39; Wrangler that I&#39;ve been working. I was really thinking hard about sticking my old 5.3 into it but I&#39;ve just got too many projects going on right now to start that one. Still got to finish the body work, 8.8 rear end and new gears. :sad:


Will any of those lockers work for a 01&#39; Silverado front diff? My buddy is looking for one.

sorry, no 8.25 front lockers. i have some gears i think? i have to check. a 5.3 would kick ass in a wrangler.
it wont even overpower the 8.8 rear swap. this jeep was going to start out like that but has transformed into a freekin monster. it goes to show you, once you start, you cant stop...

I thoguht the detroit truetrac was one of the best posi you could buy for these diffs. But if its only 80% torque to one wheel and 20% to the other that sounds like once could still be friying and the toher just start to spin?

its acutually 80% of the torque to the one wheel that need the traction. picture this,,,,, lift one rear tire off the ground about 2 feet,,,your truck in 2wd,,, so now you only have one tire to provide traction,,, that one tire gets 80% of the traction. the tire in the air moves a little bit but the one on the ground gets almost all of the power.. the trutrac is probably the best posi for a preformance street rig. that 20% remaining to the other wheel is what allows you to turn corners. its a bitch to turn when the rear diff locks up solid...if you had some good power you will have no problem getting both rear tires to fry, all the time. the way the gears in the trutrac work its almost impossible to spin just one tire. that tire would have to be stuck against a big rock and some tree root to keep it from ever moving and then you would probably brake something rather than get just one tire to spin. its because of that i didnt want it in my front.(ive been there and would have been stuck)i have a gm 8.5" 10 bolt in the front of my jeep.

OK NOW BACK ON TRACK. i like to talk shop. there are too many girls in my house and it gets bottled up. pm me your shipping address and i will get you the killer, never offered again, one price deal. shipping included. also tell me what year of truck its going into. this diff is out of a 98. they work on newer 99 and up axles but need the correct bearings installed to fit in the housings. the 8.5 and 8.625 mount on the same carrier (i have newer 8.625 rear gears in my ond school 8.5 front axle, 4.88 ratio). once i know what bearing to get and how much shipping will cost me, i will shoot you a deal you cant say no to.....
one detroit trutrack, two new carrier bearings installed, two bottles of gm synethic axle lube, & a new cover gasket.. is that enough? :rock:
