Are you running truck accessories?
Dude, if you're not running the factory style A/C bracket buy S&P's. Those look really bulky in the pick you got there

Hell I don't know how to make em bigger. You get the idea though.
Those are hideous looking compared to S&P's kit. It's about $650 for all the idlers, pulleys, mounts, bolts and a raw finish Sanden compressor.
Well it's like someone on another site said... the S&P mounts look kind of outta place unless you get all chrome or polished accessories (too pretty). And as I stated before if they're cheap enough I don't give a rats ass what they look like as long as when it starts hittin 110* I gots me some A/C.
Ive got this set up but its works with the truck accessories.

March also makes a compressor mount just like S&P's. It too takes the Sanden 508 compressor. Are you trying to use the truck or LS1 compressor or the factory compressor that came stock on your truck? Is it like above and mine, the large round rotary or is it the long cylindrical style like the LS1/GenIII truck?
I would like to use the Ls1 compressor since that would cut out the expense of a new comp. Both comp.(LS1 & '98 4.3) look very similar both long & thinner than the one pictured above.
I think it would probably be easier & I know it would be cheaper to just notch the frame & box it in. I just wonder how hard it would be to do it with the motor in the truck? :duh: What are you guys thoughts?
That would definitely be the cleanest looking install and if you have most of the parts and pieces it might be well worth the effort. Maybe a weld shop could knock it out for you in a day if you left them the truck and parts. A plasma torch and supply of steel and welding equipment, not to mention that it's their daily job will make it go faster than if you try to do it part-time.
