Wait4me.....like 4ever! WTF!

My dad wanted a tune but didnt want to spend a bunch of money .......you know where this is going.....called Jesse @wait4me and ordered a tune for an 05 5.3 and next day shipping,cool,we will have it in 1-2 days...well we waited and we waited and waited.2 weeks still no tune and his wife keeps blowing me off!WTF! I guess thats why they call it wait 4 me performance.You know guys,you get what you pay for and I guess thats what I get for not talking him in to Allens tune.I am sure that other people have had good luck with Jesse(USE2BEFO) but is it that hard to pick up a phone and tell me why you cant send out my pcm,or better yet send me a f***in email.I will never trust anybody but Allen my my shit.If you are to busy to get the shit out, stop takeing orders! I just called and left a message that I want a refund......Like that will do any good.If I do Ill get Allen to do a tune for the vette.

I have to admit it....20 mpg out of a 6.0 is impressive and he does have a good tune but......the lunch lady cant find my order on monday.....its being shipped on tuesday ......who is this again, today and no return calls doesnt cut it for me.Just call me and tell me it will be 2 weeks and I will wait4 it.Allen is just as busy and I have been pissed at him as well,but at least he can use a phone.......customer service goes a long way with me. If I was Jesse I would keep the lunch lady of the phone! BTW, (the lunch lady is an inside joke between me and use2bfo)

yeah lean cruise table is there in hptuners, but over the last few days i have found the coding isnt. So I am going to try leaning out the open loop fuel/air multiplier and just runnign open loop. I have also seen a few of his tunes, they are not great at all! It looks very slapped together, so good choice sticking with Allen.

I'm not saying all of his work isnt great, the ones I saw just didnt look liek they would be real healthy for the engine thats all, sorry if the comments offended you, i didnt intend them to be. I just saw some things in it that arent good to have in a tune, like giant timing dips and peaks and the PE would shoot wayy up and right back down real quick. Then again I cant prove its one he sends to customer and it wasnt just for starters. My dad dude.

I had to wait4 mine too, not as long as you but they told me " we're gonna ship it out tomorrow" more like2 or 3 days after tomorrow. I don't know alot about tunes but I have a feeling that it's sub-par( you get what you pay4) I have been blaming my tune for the issues I'm having at startup but now I think it was my descreened maf. To his credit he did do a good job with my harness even gave me schematics

yeah i know whatcha mean, I am trying to tune on my own as of now and it can be tough to find what your truck likes and what it doesnt. I'm going to go play with that F/A multiplier right now and see if my wideband doenst start reporting mid 15's AF ratio!

I am not flaming here but I have to seen a few of Jesses tunes and I was not impressed one bit,dips and spikes all over the place in the timing and the PE was rediculous,I was shocked to be honest but all of them i have seen were like that.Not sayin abything bad about him but I know what I have seen and prefer elsewhere but that is me.I have seen ALOT of Allens tunes and they are awesome,nice and smooth.

is his last name "coulter" cause there is an editor that did the sts camaro aticle this month and previous month named jessie coulter who kinda dogged nelson&#39;s tune but if its the same guy i see why there was some animosity.

I had a mail order tune (not W4Me or Nelson) and after 3 tries gave up with it. I got my truck dyno tuned and am as happy as can be. I gained 33+hp and TQ over the mail order tune to boot&#33;

I have spent over &#036;900 on a hand-held, and the mail order tune and tossed them out the window&#33;&#33; The &#036;450 i spent on a HP/Dyno tune was the best &#036;&#036; i&#39;ve ever spent on my truck.

There are plenty of shitty stories over on pt.net too. I know of three personally that have ditched his tune for a Nelson tune. Point blank you get what you pay for as usual. Allen ur my hero :laugh:

That&#39;s the editor, a lot of info was left from that article and it was done about a year ago, so the tuning wasn&#39;t the problem, it doesn&#39;t take a year to get your car running if tuning is the culprit. To be honest, I completely forgot about that article it was so long ago. No need to get into it, it doesn&#39;t matter. Say anything you want and print whatever you want about me, just be sure to print my name correctly, :cool:

Did you also notice how they brought up a lot of bad points about the sts system? It&#39;s not the best turbo system out there and it&#39;s not 100% (what kit is), but if you&#39;re doing an article about something, which you probably got for free, you&#39;d think they would print something a bit nicer.

yeah, they didnt do STS any favors, they hype up doing a turbo camaro then kinda dog everything from the kit to the tuning, so then they tune it themselves and......BOOM , they blew it up, i bet we dont read about that&#33;&#33; i really enjoy and respect chevy high performance magazine, but it seems like they only have one very intelligent editor , Kevin McClelland. BTW they show a track proven chart that shows the camaro did an 11.98@115.98 mph @5PSI, i think thats awesome , but they must have run out of space for compliments. These guys pick on nelson&#39;s tune but then blew it up, so whats that tell you, allen tuned it safe and if they would have gave him some live data he would have fine tuned it , its amazing how close he can tune for you not even having your vehicle, yes ive probably had about 6 retunes but i keep changing things and keep giving nelson data to fine tune my truck, it runs so awesome now its unbelieveable, and allen never complains about retuning, how else am i spose to get tuned?, i have no dyno around here and am 20+ hours away from allens shop. i guess i could get hp tuners which is a fine tool but i d rather let somebody tune it that knows what their doing, when it comes to tuning im still learning but have learned what to watch cause of this great site. :twocents:

Got the pcm......put it in........it runs.......nuff said.........1 lesson learned.......dance with the one that brung ya&#33; BTW 2 hour job to replace pcm in 2000 vette including time to remove battery acid damage from connectors.......Lets see Where can we put the pcm wHere it could get the most Damage&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;and who quit building the F-Body

I recieved mine from W4M 10 days after the order, not bad at all. I did a bunch of research on which tune to get, & settled on them because of the price. Can&#39;t imagine how much better a &#036;500 tune would be over a &#036;150 tune, on a stock truck with aftermarket exhuast only. I&#39;m still trying to get the smile off of my face.

My nieghbor has a new rcsb hemi truck, that used to drop my every time we raced, ( I have a &#39;05 5.3/3.73 ecsb), now, with the tune, I have him by about a truck at 80mph. Would it be 2 trucks with a high dollar tune? I know who&#39;s site this is, and I&#39;m not bashing anyone elses tune. Just curuious....

Well.....He(Jesse) did a 2000 vette for us and that is his specialty....I cant tell any differance,same milage,same shift points,did I spend that money and waste alot of time reinstalling a stock pcm?At this very moment I am tired of messing with pcm crap.Allen did you get the pcm&#39;s I rerturned and can you call me.I need to change some stuff....I think :help:
