Hi,
So who has the fastest Naturally-aspirited LS truck on the board (no turbo's or Supercharges please - we all know you guys are fast)? Though I haven't gone to the strip yet, somebody here said I should be between 14 and 14.4 in the 1/4.
Also, where in the Dallas area can I go to try to make a run - how much does it cost and when are the best times to go?

As far as I know there is only one 1/4 mile track in the DFW area and that is the Texas Motorplex between Ennis and Waxahachie. All the other tracks are 1/8 mile.
I could be close to it? look at sig.

Nelson tuning,4.10's,cam,2500stall,elect. fans,bbk t/b,k/n intake,asm headers,cutouts,26x11.5x16 slicks,weight reduction.

VV8, what kind of cam? What were the weight reductions?
comp cam 223 225 564 571 114, tailgate,sparetire,jack and tools, front seat,center console. truck weighed in at 4045

amy rose went like 12.10s on motor with a 4k stall a few years ago. hers was a 5.7L with heads/cam NA and it ALMOST lifted the front tires...
well blue and myself are running the 5.3 with stock head set up, I do believe with heads and a 4k stall we would both be in the 11's, but your right she did have a bad ass N/A truck.

just a few more thousand bucks and were there lol.
what size cams are you guys running? those are some incredible times for stock headed 5.3s NA. very nice.

I'm running the 223 225 564 571 114, will be installing a 226 226 585 585 112 if it ever shows up.
Just curious... is that all you guys have done to your engines (cam, springs, & rods)?
I'm getting the impression that I should graduate from the 216/220 .525/.532 114LSA Comp Cam. :sad:
thats it, internal wise...
cam > tr220
valve spings > comp 918's
pushrods > manley chrome moly
shifting @ 6400 and crossing the traps @ 6k in 3rd...
Hmm... surprised there's no valve job, P&P heads, or something like that. Good numbers! Got me thinking about the TR224 now. :thumb:
that's insane that you guys get that performance out of a little ole cam and baby stall. i went 12.38@111 with heads/cam and 6.0 with a shitty vig. 2800 stall. my new PTC 3400 and the 6.0L should yeild better results if i ever get to the track.

were just bolt-ons and a cam, tuneing of course, allen knows both setups, just ask him if were lying. Well don't be scared lol
there is plenty of people here in the houston area that can look and look and look around my truck and see all the stock gaskets that are leaking lol
I know they are both stock heads with just cam and bolt ons.I have talked to Allen about Blue's and Kevins truck,they are not hiding anything,they just flat out haul ass.LOL

lol... if you look good on mine, you can see a bead of rtv where the timing chain cover and oil pan meet, b/c stupid me took out a chunk of aluminum out of the oil pan. rtv fixed it though. i have an oil pan ready hanging in the garage for when ever it starts leaking.Quote:

I can believe it..... I mean these are regular cabs with single piece driveshafts. I mean one of these trucks outweighs a stock Camaro by around 300lbs. Now, I'll be impressed when an Extended cab or longbed does their times.......hopefully, I'll get close....;)
we're still weighing in around 4100 to 4200 in race trim. also another thing to be considered is, aerodynamics aren't on our side on the top end.

You know though, I've only run my truck once, I need to put my 3.73's in & get a better tune, also I haven't weighed em but I'll bet my 20" wheels are pretty F-ing heavy, plus I need some slicks so I can get full use of my converter. I also need to do some tweaking on it i.e. reset my pinion angle (5 1/2 deg. needs to be 3 deg.) & remove my swaybar & some minor weight reduction. Maybe that'll get me 8 tenths of a second, but I doubt it.
well not sure on the sway bar I have never taken it off so i can't tell you if it helps or not, but the 20s are heavy and cost you time,weight reduction helps alot, your truck should weigh in around 3800 without all the weight, gearing will help alot If you runnigng the 3.42 you will gain .3 in the 1/4 with 3.73 gears and .5 with 4.10 gears, slicks are going to help you get out of the whole alot faster. Your rozzi deaps weigh about 80 lbs a piece. good luck.

my stock alloys w/ mt et steets combo weighs in @ 40lbs a piece.

I was going to run last night but weather was not good. Conditions permitting and some fresh M1 i'll be making my first run next Weds. evening.
With current setup and no weight reduction what'll i do ya think?
I would love to break into the 13's, think i got a chance?
