Here's a truck that came through a while back, did some wiring and tuning on it.
He wanted me to get it on the net for him.
Watch out for it if you see it on the street, it's pretty fast! :burnout:

wow, pretty clean install! Did it make it to the dyno?
Chris
very nice looking sleeper he has there...
Allen...is it as quik as your '94 at 12.56 seconds in the quarter? :burnout: Is it a posi? Were you able to retain the anti-lock brakes? Thanks, GarQuote:

My truck ran a 13.2 with the LS1, stock engine, it ran an 11.9 with the 5psi turbo setup. So, it doesn't feel as strong as the turbo setup, but definitely faster than the NA setup.Quote:

It has a 3600 stall in it as well, and it definitely gets up and moves, but it really needs traction. The LS1 with a stall keeps the engine in it's power band all the time.
It's using the LS1 pcm for the engine and the other pcm is gone, so no abs.
Yes, it's a posi, really couldn't have it any other way.
Last time I talked to him a cam and heads were going on it, that should be fast.
I'd guess high 11's.

damn allen...thats a sweet setup for shure....guess he really needs to focus on traction issues before adding more power adders....
clean looking swap, these late model ls engines look right at home wherever you put them! i guess its the only choice when you need a heart transplant. :thumb:
Allen, What did you do with the ABS? I see he's only running 1 PCM instead of 2 simultaneously.
The abs only looks functional.Quote:

I don't think I've been in an obs truck with abs that was worth a sh!t
thanks,
allen
I agree!! Mine sucks and the brakes wear out fast because the rotors and calipers are too small.
I think that was just rear ABS anyway with one sensor for both wheels, kind of a sales gimmic if you ask me! BTW nice install!
You're exactly right! The rear abs isn't worth keeping. My truck had it but I don't think it every activated, lol,Quote:

The brakes on my truck are actually pretty good, they stop the truck nicely, but the Tahoe I had, forget it!!! You better not tailgate anyone hahaha, too many close calls.

Looks good. Gotta love the LS1 OBS trucks since I have one too. :thumb:
Man, I can't wait to drop my 5.3 into my '86 OBS Silverado! Goin in before the clock turns to 2006.
Good-lookin' swap1 :thumb:
We'll have to get all the converted trucks together for a victory tour around Texas!
