need help quieting this exhaust down

pacesetters+ORY+corsa sport exhaust=TOO LOUD/TOO RASPY. the corsa still keeps the resonation out of the cab, so it stays. i dont mind it being loud if it sounds good, but this much noise will get me in trouble :bash: all of my friends love the way it sounds, but im in texas so everyone seems to like the "redneck loud". i think the raspyness above 2500 rpm sounds like ass. actually ass probably sounds better now that i think about it.

has anyone tried using a borla XR1 in the intermediate pipe as a resonator. any other ideas besides cats?

and is it wierd that i have no cats and after 100 miles i still havent thrown a code :duh:

i doubt ass sounds better, cause thats the sounds coming from "fart cans" on a ricers car. :laugh:

ive heard fartcans that sound better than my truck right now :thumbdown: ....i cant wait for one of those guys to rev at me though :devil: ill line up my exhaust with their window and blow some ear drums :rock:

i already scared the shit outa some guy on a bicycle :laugh: he was riding right in the middle of the street and cars were having to go around this idiot when there was a sidewalk 3' from the edge of the street. i cruised up nice and slow that way he wouldnt hear me coming and then i stomped it to a 1st gear shift at 30mph about 15 yds behind him. he almost fell over! the look on his face was priceless :point: he gave me the finger and looked so pissed :rofl: it made my day

i want to try and keep the corsa, but if i cant tone this beast down i will scrap them for something quieter. from what ive read a round xr1 will help me out alot.

glad i didnt listen to you because the bullet idea dosent work :tantrum: go to ls1tech and ask about getting rid of rasp, or do a search for 40085(borla pn). alot of failure stories about trying to get rid of rasp with bullets. too many success stories to count using borla xr1 as a resinator

Ass probably could sound better ..depending on what the person ate. Maybe after a buffet at Panchos Mexican restaurant . It could sound a little bit more raspier than you truck.. :lol: :thumb:

i ended up putting in a round magnaflow as a resinator and keeping the corsa in there. pn14619 just incase anyone has the same problem someday...it did the trick. its way more quiet, rasp is almost completely gone(barely hear it when i stomp it), and the sound is actually good now...i think its better than the corsa catback with the factory cats in there.
