with as much money as i was going to spend on my other set-up i think i have come up with a new plan
1. Cammed 6.0/LQ4
2. Fast Intake
3. Direct Port :nx: 200 Shot
What do you think this set-up would be good for in 1/4

A built 6.0L or stock 6.0L.
mid 12s? Why not get a LQ9 or at least have the heads ported while its down?
stock LQ4, they have forged componets don't they?Quote:

I think the rings and pistons are still weak.
But, there was a guy out at tech week that was
running a 200shot on his 5.3L. So it has to
work out some how.
Didn't get to see him run, he broke the rear end 1st
try out on the track.
there's two different Fast Intakes 78mm/90mm
Is the 78mm the stock size? Should I upgrade to the 90mm?
i think you'll want the 90mm intake for your application. the 6.0 ls2 uses the 90mm TB
If your going to spend the money and go all out just get the 90mm.
Rember you are going to have to change to all LS1 frount motor
brackets and accs. If you have a mech. fan it will have
to go also. I don't know if the kit comes w/ inj.You will
have to change them to the longer LS1 inj. and LS1 inj.
wiring conector. The kit does come w/ the FAST fuel
rails and biger pump right.
It's going to take you forever to figure out what path to take!Quote:

I do it all the time. This route looks like a nice choice! That truck should haul ass.

i think i'm gonna bid on this!

I think you just need to go ahead and get the 6.0 stroke it to a 408,rework the heads for LOW compression and put a single front mount T-76 kit on it
 The internals are not forged. I would atleast go with rod bolts and forged pistons. Nitrous has a bad habit of melting the tops of the pistons. You can pick up a set of Je SRPs like mine for 700 bucks. You would probably only need to get the block re-honed for the new rings or for good measure get it bored to 4.03 and then later if you want to do a stroker all you would have to do is change the crank. If I was going to do a 200 shot I would go all forged. Wait I am going to be spraying a 250-300 :duh: thats why I went all forged.
hey man let me know if you want that cooler, ill bring it with me next time ur at the track :D
