i see alot of you guys on right now and nobodys posting anything so......good morning guys!!!!whats new....any past issues fixed recently.....jj did you get some more gas to your cylinders?...heartbeat did you ever find your stolen ride....
Sup man....just got into class, got some major pinging this morning, all of a sudden hit, think i got a bad tank of gas......theres my problem this morning lol :laugh: So whats everyone else up to?

I guess the old ride is gone for good.
The new ride is mid-transplant right now. I am grafting the 93 harness to the LS1 harness tonight. We'll see how that goes. Can't wait to fire it up! My neighbors love me! :laugh:
well i am here stuck in work. I cant wait till tommorrow though, gonna get a cam installed in my truck, and i am gonna be lowering a friends truck. I just hope i dont get to messsed up tonight

i am at work right here in mccook only bout 10 miles from the edinburg race track also and on the 16th when i get off allens putting in my cam....busy week that weekend my boy is getting hitched and then im back to work on the 21st...so much to do..so little time...
Morning Alton, I got my truck at Allen's place he's puting another fuel pump and bigger injectors, we'll see how it does tonigh on the test and tune in SAR. Are you going to the shootout tomorrow?

I'm trying to finish up the methanol injection. I'll be there, but don't know if I can get any tuning done before I race Saturday. It will just be brackets anyway so fastest don't make a hill a beans. :laugh:
dude that sucks ass when you get a tank of bad gas....bino from this site had that issue and it was so bad that it ruined his fuel pump...took the tank out and drained it all out and changed out the pump at the same time...what a bitch....Quote:

I've got a problem, maybe. When I took my truck in to get it aligned a while ago and they told me I had a bent idler arm. Anyone else ever heard of this happening? They told me it was going to be $350 for them to fix it so I had a good :laugh: and went on my way, have had no real problems. Alignment sucks again but that's always happened. Can never keep this thing going straight.
I ordered thsi stuff called Boost Juice, half methanol, half distilled water. It should be in today. Kinda pricy at $11 gal. I'll let you know how it works.Quote:

im using that walmart winter formula stuff and it knocked the temps down 25 deg. on the radix so far while beating on it so im gonna keep using it....
Yeah, I've heard the harsh weather windshield fluid has as much as 50% to keep it from freezing. Southern Cali peeps don't get 10% in theirs.

You have 3 pulls. I'd run two with it as is then reset it and run the 3rd one. It would be interesting to see if you have more power before or after it learns.

I decided to change out the Iridiums for some TR55's for the Showdown and found this. :eek: Some of the plugs have oil around the threads and about 2-3 are fine and dandy. I know I use a little oil so I'm guessing the valve stem seals are leaking, but some plugs are white and a little blistered so this concerns me (could be running a tad lean). Now I know why I was running a tenth slower in cooler weather the last time out. :whack: Well wish me luck at the Showdown I'm going to need it...Zed :cry:
Damn, that looks like aluminum flame spray on the tips of two of them. You're not pinging bad are you? Looks like pistons melting down and coating the plugs. I bet you pick up that .1 you were looking for if the engine holds up. :smile:
I did have some knock up top the last time out at the top of third. And just recently I had 5 degrees of KR while scanning it in first. But I've been so busy that I can get up to Allens to get it corrected. I'll try calling him later to see if anythings possible but it's not loking promising as the little woman wants to go shopping in San Marcos, I'm getting ready to leave Seguin as I type and she already has the truck started waiting on me Hahaha LOL...Zed

Yeah, the oil was definitely 2-stroke stylin. You don't see that often. When he said he thought the valve seals are gone I think that may be it. At 200K and running strong, that's pretty respectable. Kind of looks like someone who sprayed the NOS to the engine and collapsed or welded a ring to the piston.

lets see... cut cats off and truck had to much drone with the dump before the axle(couldnt hear myself talking lol) so i welded a pipe up and dumped it after the rear axle and no more drone
so now i can drive the truck and hear the wonderful sound of exhaust tickling down the header tubes:)
