I drive a 2002 Chevy Silverado 5.3L. I compete in USACI, but have a heavy foot. Makes for an interesting combination figure this would be as good a place as any to get some information on the second part.

Welcome to the darkside,You need tuning.....(Allen) first and best mod there is
Welcome  Tell us more.
Well what would you like to know?
What are your intentions? Are they honorable or do you plan on whoring that truck out like the rest of us? Do you drive her hard and put her up wet? :pics:
Of course, my intentions are nothing but honorable. Not sure what you mean by whoring her out. My truck is part of my stress relief, I cruise around jamming out the system and my goal is to set up my truck in such a way that people don't go. "Oh mine is the exact same as yours" It's one of my pet peeves. Which explains the sound system. I just got back from World Finals in Kansas City, and just got my truck back for that matter. Once I update my Sound Domain page I will post a link so that you can see the inside of everything. I'll attach a pic I took that shows the outside, it's dirty and a bad pic, but best I can do with a camera phone.
Sounds like you are well on your way with the truck. A full blown competition sound system loaded with Focal speakers is quite a system. You've probably got more tied up in your system than I have in my whole truck!
Looks like a nice ride. Obviously spent all the money in the right place instead of spending on useless things like a quality digital camera. :taunt:
Well, all of my friends have the nice digital cameras and I don't like caring things around in my pocket. So it works out, I let them worry about taking the pics and I just get later. Speaking of, here are some pics of the install that someone else took and some pics from World Finals.
This first one is our team after awards.

Wait, how did that get in there.
Couldn't view the ones in the mjgarage link but the bikini pic makes up for that.
My friend ended up having the pics posted twice. I'll try and repost the ones that are working. She deleted the entire album. Well I'm glad I could make it up to you then. She's uploading them now. I'll get it done later tonight or tomorrow.
welcome to the site...if you want to get your truck running as good as the system sounds then you came to the right place...dump that hypercrap on somebody you dont much like and get that truck tuned up from allen :hshake:
Whenever we get together I will have to talk with you guys and get things all planned out.

Where is Allen from and how would I get ahold of him?
210-626-0278 nelson performance :jump:
Thanx. How much power did everyone notice from the Allen tuning? Particularly if you used to have a Hypertech.
I have not been to the dyno yet but the diffarence is night and day.My truck runs smoother and stronger and milage is better when i keep my foot out of it.i had all tm removed plus tuned for my mods and it will bark the tires in 2nd at part throttle or pull your head off at full throttle(with the rite trans setup)You tell him what you want and he will do it,and lifetime updates...tire size change, rear end ratio, blower, whatever you do :point:
Alright, sounds good. Another question, I was looking at the STS tuner that has been mentioned throughout the forum. Anyone have one of these that will tow from time to time? Is an intercooler needed if it's not that often. I tow about 4000-5000 pounds once every few months. (Lexus on a trailer) I didn't know if the additional stress that would be put on the turbo would make an intercooler needed or if it's only for more serious towing.

Why thank you.
You can certainly tow with a turbo!
I would recommend an intercooler.
Man u really have it all in line man. I like that painted dash and all. Did u do the entire inside like that? If so is that jus regular paint on there? Luv that system too man.. Keep it up
It's the factory paint. The parts were fiberglassed over I believe and then painted. I have a few things inside done. All of the dash, the console, the plastic pieces around front and rear handles, the piece with door locks nad window controls and the piece that is in front part of window...eventually more is going to be painted, seat recovered in black leather and green suede insert, black headliner and more green on a lot of the plastic so basically there will be no beige left inthe vehicle.
