i Ran this flywheel. It will mate up with both the old style clutch or the new LS style clutch without having to cut or drill dowel pins
use the ls7 pilot bearing

I'd love to go with that flywheel but it's a little out of my price range ,, thanks for the info
The sachs nfw1050 flywheel makes up for the shorter LS crank, the pilot bearing just locates the input shaft of the trans to the crank
I used the nfw 1050 flywheel, stock clutch from my nv3500, stock throwout bearing and fork, and I used an SKF 6302VSP43 pilot bearing
did your original pressure plate bolts thread into the new sachs flywheel?
thank you sir.... I have all my parts,, just need to get the time to make the swap now
Brianmcb,,, did you run into any issue with the slave cylinder mounting up?? I will be doing my swap in the next week or so,, just trying to get everything organized so I won't have alot of downtime with the truck not running
No issues with my slave. Clears the sensor that sticks out of the oil pan to. I'm even using the stock throwout bearing.
sounds good,thanks for the reply
Brian,, did you fully seat the NAPA bearing into your crank? I had the mcleod bushing and wasn't really satisfied with it when I put in in my crank... I feel more comfortable with and acutal bearing.....
Not fully, but damn near.
When almost fully seated was part of the bearing still sticking out past the end of the crank?
Message me your email address and I'll send you a pic of how mine looks with the flywheel
brian , did you use your dust shield on the swap?
I think I used the plastic dust shields that were on the 5.3
