I bought a little motorcycle as a comuter. The stupid thing is that I've only ridden it about 10 miles so far.Quote:

I went to a QuikTrip this morning ~11am. 87 octane was $2.46. Went back to the SAME STATION at about 1 with the wife, and they had raised their price to $2.59. We then went around the corner to a BP. 87 was $2.49, so she filled up. Went back to the BP in my truck about 6pm, and they had also raised their price to $2.59. Then I just went home.Quote:

Yeah these gas prices suck. But I am happy that we have E-85 up here, and I have been running it in my wifes Montana 3.4ltr with great sucess!!
Ok ready for the price.....
1.99 and I hear that it is going to drop when IA gets the other 8 plants online with in the next year or so.
It's about time we stop paying farmers to farm dirt, and actually farm something!!
I also saw on trucks tv that you can make your own diesel fuel. cool eh. I have been thinking about an old VW diesel. who would care if it smelled like McDonalds?
I know E-85 has an Octane rateing of 101 so this should be cool, I am going to test it in the truck sometime next month. I will let ya know how it goes. I can tell you this much, from running it in the minivan, I watch it with hptuner, and the o2 levels are lower. so we will see if she has any other weird things happen.
L8tr
WTF is E-85 and where do you get it??
and theres nothing wrong with farming dirt :taunt:
Perhaps you shouldn't have purchased a truck if you're that concerned about fuel prices... :duh:
thats where i stand. yeah i play with my truck at the track and put all kinds of accessories on it to make it look good, but in the end, its still a WORK TRUCK. i pull a trailer 5-7 days per week, and couldnt imagine it just sitting in the garage. with the work/hobbies i have theres no way in hell i could ever drive anything besides a truck.Quote:

good thing i just bought a scion tc for the girlfriend. she dosent know it yet, but we will be taking that car EVERYWHERE
Yesterday 93 was 2.69 a gallon and today its 2.99 for 93. Thats what I have to run all the time, cause of the tune and supercharger. Just think, tomorrow its time for a fill up. I'm pulling my camper to Charlotte this Friday to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Its 421 miles one way according to Mapquest.
reg went from 2.49 last night to 2.99 this morning....this my friends is nothing more than bull shit price gouging!!!!
Yep today 87oct. went from 2.49 to 2.98 here in GA. haha we Own a towing business and we just raised all of are prices. This crap sucks especially when all of my vehicles run off of 93oct. I think I'm bout to go take my big tires off of my Jeep and put the stockers on and start running reg. even though it want run worth a crap. :puke:
it went up a dollar in houston. about $3.50 for 93. i saw on the news $6.07 for 93 in atlanta.
Price gouging is supposed to be illegal especially if it surrounds a natural disaster. The Gov't is going to have to step in pretty soon!!!
Our gas went up another 20cents from yesterday. 3.19 a gallon for 93. I filled up this morning. $65 for my truck and it had a 1/4 tank in it. I put $15 in a 5 gallon can for my lawnmower to and it didn't even fillit up all the way.
Yeah man I saw that to and had friend call and tell me gas had went up to over 6.00 gal. in ATLANTA Ga. hahaa man that is not even funny my parents have got out both of their harleys and are going to start to drive them during the week $11 and can ride all week.
We are back to the days of the 70s fuel shortages fellas. I remember it well.
Some gas stations are ordered to raise their prices to an outrageous level so people WON'T buy it; it's a calculated move. This directly reflects concerns about supply.
Don't be too suprised when you start hearing about rationing and lowering the highway speed limit to 60 or 55.
Ah hell, i just fill up and drive, looking at the prices sucks. I like telling all the little shits driving ricers that are complaining about prices to shove it up their a**es. We're hurting alot worse than they are. But I bought the truck for power, not gas mileage.
Chris
Well, I live right outside Atlanta, and what 2k5Squirrel said was correct the other day about prices skyrocketing here. There were actually a couple of stations selling regular for $7.99 a gallon! Prices have since "normalized." A gallon of regular is ranging from $2.95-$3.09 here now.
The WalMart store near me is selling fuels for 20 cents less than everyone else around here. $2.89 a gallon for reg and $2.75 for diesel. I wonder how hard they are trying to get the electricity up and running for the refineries in LA. They have to focus on that really big. If they don't we are gonna be in some shit here in a few months when the weather starts to chill down about 30 degrees.
