Ported 01 truck intake, edelbrock pro flo xt 90mm, vic jr with elbow. Input is appreciated cost is always a factor. This will feed a 5.3 with ported 862 heads with s 76-80mm front mount turbo. Also what size fuel injector will be needed to support up to 20 psi? Currently running a walbro 255 fuel pump.
I believe Mitch has ran an edelbrock profio xt 90mm for a long time now. A stock untouched intake won't hold you back too much until you hit 650+. The NNBS intake with 90mm TB is probably the best bang for your buck intake. He is also one of the fastest 5.3 trucks around. As for injectors I would suggest over 100lbs or ID850s. Also your fuel pump isn't going to be enough.
Is there any intank pump that would work? Or just mount a A-1000 externally?
You can modify the tank to fit a walbro 450, but I am a fan of the a1000.
lets talk power goals here. referring to PSI means nothing unless your a big boy
you can make big power cheap and use all stock parts with a lot of psi, you can make big power with aftermarket parts on the expensive and do it with less psi
a single walboro 255 is good for about 500 rwhp in boost
Thanks George, that was my next question is how much boost/HP will the Walbro 255 and LS2 42lb hr injectors support. I was thinking of using a master power 76mm and fab my own front mount set up using stock manifolds. 500 wheel horse power would be awesome.
Boost in PSI isn't a measure of airflow it's a measurement of restriction. Shoot for a power goal, not a boost setting.
And for the manifold, the Holley Hi-Ram seems to be a big hit. Most aesthetically pleasing to.

Initially 500hp at the wheels. Yes boost is a measure of restriction. The reason I started with a boost setting is to c what injectors and pump would be needed. I know dbrods is pushing stock 5.3s to 24-26 psi. So my ultimate goal would be 700hp at 20psi. To start I want to maximize my walbro 255lph pump and 42lb injectors.
only took me 12 psi to make 700 rwhp on a stock 53 with a cam and only took 12.5 psi to go 130mph at 4700lbsQuote:

I know with a boost a pump and 60s a build struggled to keep idc under 110% above 500hp. The 255 will help the 42s stretch it a bit, but I think 450 will be the safe limit.
Thanks for the input guys. Ill push what I got to it near limit and learn to tune that combo then step it up from there.
