Your still a slow Canadian
Idc what it put down im gonna drag that ass so bad you're gonna think you were on the track by yourself.
Congrats though.
So it should be in the 11's in the 1/4. Is it? That would be the real test of HP!
nice! anything new done to it or just finally dynoed?
Made 346 before headers. It's a standard so it's gonna be a little higher than most autos numbers...
I'm not sure whether I should give up the secret or not.
knowing you, it's probably a 'laughing' matter. maybe from somebody passing 'gas' & you had to 'spray' some febreeze to get the stink off.
Maple leaf additives in the gas.
100 shot had to have gotten you to those numbers.
If I was spraying it, I'd admit to spraying it. Was just a combination of the truck being a 5speed, a high reading dyno, and it is a fairly healthy motor. But not 450rwhp healthy. I put together a good combo, but it's just too small to put up numbers like that. It's a small cam, factory casting heads, stock bottom end LM7.
Pretty awesome however its fairly clear it was reading somewhat high. I figure a heads and can 5.3 will put down 385ish on its best day threw an automatic. I bet you are closer to +400 seeing as your a 5 speed. I think a guy over on pt.net was saying he saw a difference of 700 HP on a mustanf dyno and 800 on a dynojet. Right day right time and maybe a little wheel spin? Let's all take dynos for what they are really worth.... a tuning guide and measuring stick as we make adjustments. Once again congrats devin. Your build is pretty awesome. The what 4500 mile round trip yo star is proof of what a beast this thing really is.
And almost had to tow Bertha home.
What are your mods anyways Frenchy? and times?
5.3, EPS 222/226 cam. Patriot Stage 2 59cc 243's. XSPower 1 7/8 primary headers. CAI. Nitrous. Casey Rance tuned it. NV3500 school bus 5speed, G80 with 3.23's. Best it's gone is 12.2@117, on a 100 shot on worn out circle jerker slicks.
How's that NV3500 holding up? I swapped a 6.0L in front of mine at 150k miles and was always afraid of it giving up, never did though. With the stout pressure plate I had on it, it kept breaking slave cylinders, cracking the housings! Had any trouble with that? I think I put 5 or 6 slaves in before I went to a t400. I just remember with 3.42's it would go from 25-115 in 3rd!
Haven't had a bit of trouble with it. So many told me I'd turn it into a box of marbles. I've tried. I haven't. It just drives like a chill bus trans.

these are the same truck - first video was after he did a 4.3 -> 454 swap, and the 2nd is after he swapped the 454 for an 8.1
bone stock NV3500 & he drives like that all the time. he added a big turbo to it a couple years ago & all's still well.
4L60 guys are just jealous
Sometimes you get a good one!
I haven't had a single issue with my nv3500 96 Chev xcab 4x4 has a ho350 gm crate engine 265,000 miles he's been driven pretty hard for the 12 years I have had it. Towed way to much power shifted way to many times but just keeps on ticking.
I guess I didn't state myself clearly "4L60 guys are just jealous" and I said sometimes you get a good one!
the way you said it makes it look like you think it's a gem of a find if you can get an nv3500 to hold together after a v8 swap, but what i'm saying is that after my years of research, reading up on builds, and even talking to some of the manufacturers, it's the exception to find one that craps out. my conclusions were that when behind comparable moderate-build engines, i've seen worlds more 4L60s that need rebuilds than 1/2ton 5speeds.
Why dont Americans like metric? Its more straight forward than Standard.
Sam reason I don't. Metric is f'ing gay.
In its defense, a base 10 system is by far the easiest to work with. Same goes for fahrenheit and Celsius, why base your whole temperature system off body heat- Kelvin is better than celsius. There must be a reason Metric is used globally, the only reason we use standard is just so we can do buisness with you.
My entire profession is based around miles, feet, inches, gallons and pounds. And degrees Celsius.
Well put zebra haha.
Lots of professions are based off it, Im just saying metric aint that bad. Even NASA uses it.
I use both for designing parts, depending on the customer.
Sorry for making an argument ill get back to building haha.
BTW those are some good numbers, ill be posting mine after dynoing this Friday
