alright, i know this is a shameless plug, but my little bro is on his way to actually achieving his dreams of a musical career. a few months back, him & some friends realized they all had musical talent with an interest in the same styles, so naturally, they started a band. thing is, they quickly found a couple connections that hooked them up with a producer & a promoter, and after some reviews, they ended up getting a tour booked for this summer. in preparation for that, they just released their first single the other day. i understand most people don't regularly listen to this type of music, but give it a once-through - if you like it, great... tell all your friends! if not, that's fine too... just appreciate the musicianship & determination of these kids (i say kids, but they're like early 20s now). enough yappin... on with the tunes!!

Cool, I'm really big into metal and I listen to some pretty HEAVY stuff. All my friends look at me crazy and ask wtf is wrong with you. Most people don't expect some ole Mississippi redneck to be a die hard metal fan. I've seen a lot of big name bands and even got to hang out with a few. The YouTube link you posted kind of reminds of some cradle of filth or otep. I wish that the best of luck! Its hard for metal bands to get big since the fan base is not as big as other types of music . But then again metal fans are really dedicated!

The last show I went to was the deftones. But I've seen slayer, cannibal corpse, hate breed, lamb of god, acdc, Metallica, deicide, sepultura, soulfly and I'm sure I'm forgetting some

I've seen hate breed, chimaria, winds of plague, toxic holocaust, and dying fetus all at one show and it was such a small show the bands we're just hanging out in the bar with everyone. Then seen slayer anthrax and megadeath. I only went to that show to see slayer. Six feet under and lamb of god are on the very top of my list of bands to see it would make my year to see lamb of god perform walk with me in hell!. I love some soulflyand deicide! Also seen mudvayne years ago before they went soft and they put on a good show. My apologies zebra didn't mean to hijack your thread.

I'm a huge metal fan. Most people would think I listen to something else because I look like an average joe (well fat joe). I've seen so many bands I can't name them all. I used to go to every metal show that came to town. I drove all the way to St Louis to see Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Children of Bodom and God Forbid a couple years back then turned around and saw LOG again in Little Rock with GWAR. I'm going to see Clutch tonight too...

Huge metal head here too. I'll listen to everything metal. Symphonic, Power, metal-core, whatever. I haven't seen many bands though because I've either been on deployment or broke going through school but I hope to change that here in Houston. I would definitely rock these guys on pandora.com. They remind me of "The Agonist."
