New truck on order!

So, like I said when the 14 was unveiled, I just put in a factory order for a 13 ecsb, 4x4, LT with the options I wanted, including the Max Tailoring Package. Woo hoo, 6.2, can't wait! :burnrub::burnrub: Should be here in 4-6 weeks. And got super lucky...

When I bought my 08 in Oct 2011 they sold it as an LS. Having only owned WT before that I wasn't sure what should be in it and took their word. Power options were aftermarket. :( Went to order at a different dealer yesterday and they found it was a WT not the LS that I paid for when they went to do the appraisal. Offered 9k trade. Went back to original today with the original paperwork and confronted them, to make it right they're giving me 13K, at a loss of 2500 to them.

Never been screwed before with such a good outcome! :hyper2:

Wow good for you. You have to watch those stealerships they are sneaky to say the least. Glad it worked out for you in the end.

Wow I am glad they made things right after taking you for a ride on it. We should take bets now on how long it takes to void the warranty. :lol: My guess 72 hours.

Awesome! That sucks about your 08 but I would be pumped ordering a car/truck from the factory. It is so rarely done these days but one day I will have too. Reminds me of my parents and grandparents telling me it was pretty much the only way they bought cars from the 40s-70s.

So to revisit this, the dealer followed through with the deal but is now selling my old truck as an LT on their lot for $15,800. Not in the original post was when I talked to the gm of the dealer he told me "I can show you 30 or 40 on the lot now listed the same" to which I informed him they are committing fraud with every single one. Ideas on what I should do? See if they offer me shut up money or file a complaint with the local DA's office and have them brought up on charges? They are screwing 1000's of people a year with this crap. They are one of GM's highest volume dealers (over 10k vehicles a year).

Sorry bud I'm a little lost here, so how much did they give you for yours? And are they asking 15,800 for your old LS as a LT?

He had a WT, but it was sold to him as an LS originally. I'm not sure you'll get anything out of it other than a case with DA.

heres another thought, why didn you do your homework prior to buying it...can easily run the vin and know what the truck has, check the glove box for codes for every option installed...

if anything you came out looking like a fool, once on lot a seller can do anythign they like

I guess I should have clarified. I'm not looking to get anything more for me out of it. I got a hell of a deal because of it. But I am pissed that they are doing this to 100's or more people a year and continue to do so after being called on it. Was more thinking of reporting them to the DA's office. I just hate shady shit like that.

And George, they can't do whatever they want on their lot, it's fraud, and a felony, each time they do it.
