nbd? v8 mounts since its a v8 engine. Im guessing you bought a 58x engine! search for a 24x to 58x conversion
Meant new body style
What year is new motor? Basicly mounts. Whole harness. Tac. Pedal. Air intake.
It's an 07 It has intake and oil pan it needs harness and accessories its cheap and only 30k miles
no engine harness, no computer, no pedal, no tac module harness, no tac module, no accessories, no a/c lines, no radiator hoses, engine mounts, no frame mounts. i dont think its complete until you have these
I found another one a 6.0 that has everything out of an 08 2500 Will the wiring harness and everything match up Will be using both motor and trans
No. If your truck is 07 GMT800, you need a harness from an 05-07 GMT800. Let me know how it goes, no one has ever done this swap before as there is obviously no available information.
I'm 16 and bought a truck Now that I got my taxes back and made more money I can do my swap Havnt bought anything yet, trying to find a motor but keep coming across motors from 01 or 08 can find 04-06
You can make either motor work. It's the harness that needs to be specific.
Where can I find a harness and would I need all the wiring from an 04+ or just the harness
It's a dealer only part. Junkyards burn them and sell the copper. And you need every strand in the truck. Headlights to tail lights. You're re-wiring the entire truck. You need to do this to keep the proper amount of jiggowatts to keep the transponder properly correlated.
I was meaning the computer etc would the 08 computer work or not
No. Jesus Christ. There's more than enough info on this site for you to do it. There's about a dozen guys on here who have done the swap. Myself included. Take 20 minutes to research instead of asking 126 stupid questions and you'll be set.
