Bars seem like the way to go.

I've seen cal tracs on some trucks and i know from experience
That are an awsome fix for leafs. Ive seen guys clap the
Front of the leafs, I like that one best, because it's old school
Muscle car modifications. Plus it's sneeky.
So is an AWD conversion.
16" wide slicks and ladder bar suspension = no wheel hop and 1.38 60'
Spring clamps from Autozone are 20.00 .. Clamp the REAR 15" behind the axle.. Correct pinion angle with shims.. nothing more then a 4 degree otherwise you need to cut the mounts off and correct it and weld on new mounts.. PM me if you need more help there is nothing wrong with stock stuff just need to change a few things around... Blown06 has been 1.5x with nothing more then clamps and shocks .. did you remove the overload?
Here's a CHEAP way to get rid of the hop. On my obs I had violent wheel hop, so bad it broke the tailgate handle. I took a set of front bump stops that I had removed, trimmed them down and put them between the big flat overload spring and the spring pack. There is a plastic pad that you can pop out and bolt the bumpstop through. Keep it tight so that when the truck is on the ground it's touching a bit. Acts like an old school traction bar. You hit it and it pushes up into the springs, wheel hop gone, cost nothing.
pretty much got the 3/4" heim joints make sure 2 are RH thread and 2 are LH thread and get the correct size tube to fit over the bungs that you weld then cut them to the size i needed and welded them together for the bars.
yeah before you just start throwing parts at it, just make sure your pinion angle is good. Probably needs to be aimed down more, since it naturally wants to point up when launching hard.
...and godamn those are some quick 60fts.
Got a Fabricating shop building this set up for me, they have all the parts made, will post pics when its done. If any body is interested in a set let me know
Puting them on this weekend, did the flip on the rear axle lastnight. So I have it sittin low where I want it. Ill post pics soon as its on
