World Warhawk 427 Whipple 2.9 Supercharged

I've been working with this customer for some time now, going on probably 6 years on and off.
Well we're back at it and some of stuff he builds is really badass!

He's on top of the latest engine builds and here's one of his most popular builds for conversions.
btw, same guy I went to Germany for. These engines usually go in Cobra kit cars, those are a blast to drive too.

Here's what the builder says:
"THIS ENGINE IS 427 WITH WORLD PRODUCTS WARHAWK RACE BLOCK, CALLIES ROTATING ASSEMBLY, LS7 DRY SUMP, COMP CUSTOM HYD. ROLLER VALVE TRAIN, STAGE II LS7 HEADS & 2.9L WHIPPLE FRONTN FEED BLOWER WITH 10-RIB DRIVE"


I know I know, why only 800hp, because it's about reliability. We all know how far these LSx engines can be pushed, but that's not always the case.

I can post more specs later, but basically all good stuff, RHS block, good rotating kit, dry sump kit, Whipple 2300, and the obvious stuff.
This setup is producing about 800hp on the engine dyno with 8psi.

I know I know, why only 800hp, because it's about reliability. We all know how far these LSx engines can be pushed, but that's not always the case.

cost?

I'll get some cost going for you guys, they aren't cheap, but it's better and about the same as the Zr1 engine, and more hp and tq.

I'll post some up shortly.

This guy i've known for years is!!!

It has never occurred to me to use him, he's in germany, but spends half his life in houston building engines. he builds high dollar engines, but will build anything, even a stock rebuild.

i need that motor for my wifes tahoe

Killer build, but a $6k block, high dollar heads, blower and using stock valve covers?

Valve covers don't make horsepower.

For real, damn!!! Neither does your new fancy body mods... J/K. But I mean if I am gonna throw that kinda cash a complete build I would have some katechs or at least some of the raised Chevy ones. But like i said killer build.

You can see all the parts aren't on the engine, I don't know if it's getting fancy valve covers or not, but i really wouldn't care if it was mine, i've never been into the bling lol.
