That is a great cam for a 5.3 as long as you have a good stall to complement it. It is also a great nitrous cam. The split duration is ideal for spray. The lift (.581) is nothing radical meaning you can use most valve springs on the market which is nice. Its a big 5.3 cam, but not a huge one. Have fun! :thumb:
It has a 592 lift on exhaust side rather than the 588. I'm getting a 3200 circle d stall to go wit it
Sounds like a great setup. Should work very well. What springs do you plan to use?
Gonna use comp dual springs
I would suggest Patriot Golds or the Lunati Duals as they are a better deal for a very quality spring.
Waiting on headers, stall, high volume oil pump, arp crank bolts. After install loading on trl for a dyno tune at efi alchemy in orange park, fl
Already got springs and rods
Oh okay sweet. What headers are you getting?
Calspeed 1 3/4" if the get em back in stock. If not I'll spend a lil more for 1 7/8
Same ones that I have in my garage waiting to go onto my truck. :) I would recommend upgrading your fuel system a little bit. Lots of cam/headers guys running out of fuel up top. Even just a bigger fuel pump would do the trick. I am a big better safe than sorry advocate.
Thanks for the tip. Shud I replace the main bolts heard they dont hold up. I know the cam is rated for 7000 but not really wanting to push it that hard. Was thinking 6500. Also any recommendations for fuel pump?
Can I use 7.375 pushrods
What are specs on the cam ?
Nevermind I have that same cam going in a 5.3 as well lol and no u need 7.4
Thanks and specs on cam are 224/230 duration, 581/592 lift, 114lsa
Same cam I have but mine is a 112lsa
Bet that 112 lsa sounds good
Damn nice
