Plenty of people have done it, myself included. Warm them up with a hair dryer or do it on a hot summer day and they should peel right off. Shouldn't be any difference in paint unless yours is seriously neglected or it's an old truck.
Sounds good thanks. My paint is in really good shape. It's been taken really good care of, so I should be in good shape.
yea and if there is a slight difference because of paint fade and someone notices it, theyre lookin to damn close :lol: just give em the finger and call em something derogatory...usually works for me :lol:

Some jack ass clear coated over the z71 sticker on the driver side of my truck. I took the sticker off anyway. I need to wet sand and have it cleared but you cant tell unless your 6 inches away. Thats on my to do list next month.
I'm about to debadge my truck also....found some good videos on YouTube showing exactly how. 5 mins of research for good knowledge.
Heat gun or eraser on drill
Yeah I think mine are staying til I get my truck repainted, then they'll come off and stay off. only have the 1500 on the doors and chevrolet across the back of the tailgate... Heat gun should work good or hair dryer like suggested.
