I bought the coolant and oil pressure gauge sensor adapters. But Ive run in to a problem... Since they're chromed or something I don't think they are grounding the sensor because my gauges are maxing out? Anyone else ran into this problem or found a work around? :confused:
Never had a problem with their chrome plated adapters but my trucks were all 92-93 models.
Mine is a 92! :/ hmmm maybe im missing something obvious :P oh well least important thing now. just thought Id throw it out there for a questionQuote:

I was using the original adapters for my truck. They're single wire

the temp sensor with the harness was like $55 & the single wire plug was $11. both from the same company, "Nook & Tranny" on ebay.

Also the guy asked if I wanted a DVD on how to do the swap I said if it's free sure why not.
Just an update for others doing this, the oil sender adapter from speedway worked perfectly. The water temp sender adapter, not so much. looks like it is supposed to be 12mm x 3/8 npt not 1/8 npt.
So in summary, use the speedway brass 16mm x 1/8npt and the S&P 12mm x 3/8 npt. I will be ordering one on monday.
Both water and oil pressure worked fine for me. You sure you're using the right hole in the head? rear oassenger side?Quote:
