Spent the night in county last night.

So last night on my way home i see 2 cars pulling out on the road in front of me, i can tell the first car was an impala, figured it was a sherrif, the 2nd car is a charger and as i get closer i see sheriff down the side, no biggie got the cruise set on 65 and go by him. Well he sits there for a second, then pulls out and he's freakin moving, im guessing he's gonna blast around me and catch up to the other bacon.....Nope, lights come on and i pull over, he takes my license and stuff and i ask why'd you pull me over, and he says we were looking for a gray ext cab with modified exhaust that ran from the us earlier, i look at him puzzled and he says youre obviously not him, but we were just making sure the officer was mistaken on the body style. He asks how my driving record is and i reply its terrible but Im good, have no warrants or anything "sit tight ill be right back". So he walks up, mr. Joslin please step out, ask him whats up and he informs me i do have a warrant, apparently last time i was in court and they told me i was all good, they didnt inform me that i still had to pay the DA 341$, anyways they take me to county jail, i have my GF go down to the ATM and pull out the money to get me out, well they dont take cash, and in this podunk town you cant get a money order after 11pm WTF!!! So i got to sleep on the floor with a mat that was 1 inch thick no pillow and a blanket. Freakin sucked, smelled like piss, and was in there with 4 other dudes, 2 of which snored extremely loud and the 2 others talked the entire time, oh and at random times the crapper would just shoot a fountain of water out :lol: it was great, well at 6am they start selling money orders again, and i got out. Had court today at 2, and ask the judge and clerk several times, now that i have paid this I am clear correct, they searched and searched and said everything is good, asked the DA and he said everything was good. So from now on i think im gonna call the county about once a month and make sure im legal.

Thats some terrible luck, take it as a compliment that the cop thought your truck was fast enough to out run them though. :lol:

well man, i honestly arent one of those guys that blames the "system" it was my fault for originally getting in trouble long ago, and not making sure that the retards that work for the system were'nt correct.

since i know alot of cops, peeps ask if i can get em outta stuff, i ask what they were doing, and they were breaking the law, so i say no jack ass dont break the law, everyone hates the cops until you need them is what ive always thought, and ive never gotten pulled over for being law abiding......besides last night :lol:

yea he was telling me about the other guy that ran, and i said well hell if i woulda known that you damn sure wouldnt of caught me :lol: he actually laughed too.

Same thing happened to me i got a speed ticket, took defensive drive and paid the court cost, my Aunt works at DPS and I always have her run my record before i go to get my liscence renewed and sure enough had a warrant out for the county i got the speeding ticket in. Call them up and they said i did pay them blah blah blah, then i told them I had a signed reciept from them and they still didnt believe me, i got all my paperwork notorized and sent it to them and got it dismissed luckily then had my aunt call them to verify. Lazy people not doing their jobs can land you in jail...

no man, had my 2 year old and my pregnant GF in the truck, if i woulda been solo, prolly woulda killed the lights and hit a dirt road or just went off road and seen if that charger could keep up with the new AWD :lol: considering it had rained earlier.

Dang, sorry to hear that. I had the same happen to me in College Station... I was charged with driving while license invalid for something that was dropped two years prior after "failing to stop at a stop sign long enough". I had actually renewed my license a month prior to being arrested with no problems and still had to stay the night in county. After they saw it was their fault in paper work they let me out but I was never reimbursed for bail... Slip ups in paperwork happen more often than you think.

They make Chargers in AWD too. Doubt the LEOs have them, but they do.

I had the same thing happen to me last year over a Failure to Yield ticket. The officer claimed I did a rolling stop at a stopsign and I said "I came to a complete stop...I saw you parked across the street so why would I roll through?" He gave me the ticket and I paid it but apparently they didn't file the paperwork correctly so a year or so later I get stopped at 2pm on a saturday and they take me in for a failure to appear warrant. GUESS WHAT, no judge/bail til monday morning so I had to sit in county all weekend.

While I was waiting at NLR they brought in another guy that they claimed had a failure to appear but couldn't find anything on him in the system. They couldn't figure out what to do with him so they took him over to county with me. He gets to county and they can't find why they have him either. They call the Airforce Base (he's a military brat and they stopped him entering base) and they said in their system he showed up as having a failure to appear for a theft of property charge. He tells them that he already appeared before the judge 2 years prior with his lawyer because it was a case of same name, different person and was cleared. Apparently the military DB still showed it as him but the LRPD had it cleared. This guy had cancer and had staples in his side from having a bone marrow transplant 2 days prior and they wouldn't release him or give him any meds. We talked the whole weekend and I gave him my cell number and apparently they didn't let him out until THURSDAY the following week and last time I talked to him the state was trying to settle his case out of court. He was a good dude that got on by the system...

LOL that sucks, i would have asked for a single cell. Last time i went to jail i layed down on that little mattress and felt so comfortable i fell right asleep. It was like going back home and i was really comfortable. When my g/f bailed me out i told them thanks for the nap LOL

They were at max capacity. So no matter what i was gonna be sharing a cell.
