WTB - 1960 through 1966 Wheels or Hubcaps or Both

I'm looking to find a used/weathered/rusty set of 6 lug C10 1960 - 1966 Chevrolet Hubcaps and/or Wheels or a complete set of both.

I don't want the wheels so bad that they are unsafe, but being scratched/rusty appearing is fine.

Hubcaps can be horribly rusted so long as they are intact and structurally sound enough to stay affixed to the wheels.

The Hubcaps can be colored versions or chrome appearing versions.

No GMC, Chevrolet only.

Tires are not needed and prefer they not come with tires.

That's what I'm thinking on the 66 I bought.

Rusty Rat Rod look exterior with a nice interior and then it have the drive train from the Sleeper in it after the LSX/Twins go in the Sleeper.

He is such a dbag!and caught the never forgiving bug from this girl my ex used to get her haircut by... Her and skratch have matchin hand tattoos its hilarious... Ill round up pics!!

Yeah that's kind of what I want to do with the 66, well almost exactly.

Only difference is I am going to widen the rear wheels so I can get some wide tires to help with traction.

Going to upgrade all suspension, brake system, drop in the turbo and forged 6.2, 6L80, narrowed 14 bolt, etc.

I can order new wheels and hub caps and just distress them I reckon, but I figure it would be better to get some old ones with character.

If I were you I'd be getting Wheel Vintiques to make you some 17" replicas of the original. Your choice of width, modern tire choices, room for a decent set of brakes, original hubcaps fit. Shouldn't be hard to make them look weathered if you leave them in that Texas sun.

I had a set of factory 16" 6-lug off my '68. They might still be at DBRODS sitting out back. Nothing wrong with them, but they have a great patina. Just wheels, no caps.

BTW, no copying my ideas!!!!

Some of the ones I been seeing have rusty look wheels otber only leave the body that way and have nice wheels!! Like nice and painted stocks

Yeah I wish it would have had the stock wheels on it and not the aluminum ones it has.

That's why I'm really looking for some aged ones and hubcaps!

I can get some bad arse stocker ones for it from that place Frenchy mentioned and then through some crap hubcaps on them.

They have all the way up to 15x14 for the rears and 15x6s for the front.

They also have new hub caps.

Someone needs to photoshop old hud baps on new wheels and see what they look like!! I think either way rusty-ish body thats had better days and new wheels or better days wheels will look good!!

F it get the white wall slicks lol in summit I think they have alot...

It's more than likely going to end up being new wheels for sure.

And then I will have to decide on the hub caps, leaning towards new hubcaps also.

You can patina your own hubcaps fairly easily. Get some new ones, paint them, Scotch bright, wash with Dawn, then sit in the sun.

Yeah that's a good point.
I been studying a lot on those processes the last couple of days.

I'm thinking I am going to just roll it with new wheels and new hubcaps for a while. I am going to be removing all the molding and doing the patina process to the body and then putting molding back on.

We'll see what develops, lmao there is at least 4 colors of paint on the truck and it's hard to tell if they are all solid to the whole truck. I will know soon enough.

You should really just leave it how it is, slam it, and rock some Intros or Billet Specialties on it. Twisted Vistas would look sick.

It's definitely getting dropped a good bit, not bagged or body dropped, just a good solid static drop.

I have thought about going with some modern billet type wheels on it , but unsure of that still.

On the paint, if it wasn't so crappy looking and even peeling in some areas I might consider leaving it alone, but it's pretty shitty to put it honestly.

The least I feel I have to do it is go over the whole truck with a extremely light wet sanding to smooth it out and clean it up some.

Exactly, definitely no whites walls, haha.

That's just how thos truck happened to be when I ran across it, I like how they finished to paint and the drop and then stuck with the moldings.

I think some stock width or and inch narrower in front with decent sized tires.

Minimum 15x10s in the back, more like 15x12s with some wide tires.

Stock hubcaps and stock wheels, but to those sizes.
