Im looking for tips and advise as to which products to use to spray paint my stock chrome and gray plastic grill into a all black grill. DO i just scuff the chrome up and spray over it or should I take it down to the base plastic?:rolly:

Ive done both ways of course taking the crhome off is the best was but a pita scuffing it and using that rust tough paint or whatever works pretty good.
What about skuffin it and using the krylon fusion plastic paint?
Scuff the chrome with 320, adhesion promoter, prime, sand, paint, sand, clear, sand, polish.
Cool thanks for the heads up. Also might try some black chrome paint on the bumper to darker it up some. Ill post up some pics. I got new headlight and marker light on the way so i want to change it up...
I got a can of Bull dog on the shelf at the house it does work good!
There is a write up about painting tailgate handle. use it! it worked for me on everything...
Well 320 grit was futile. I started with 100 grit 3m foam block to scuff the chrome and plastic... More to come.
How's it coming along? How about a green grill?
i got the grill blacked out and the new lights and marker lights installed yesterday ill post pics later today...
