ive been wondering the same thing...
i was on a different dyno friday night, but dont have any copies of the sheets yet
I dynoed had a nitrous backfire about mid way thru my pull and had to kill it blew my intake tube in half :thumb: I hit 440rwhp next dyno ill have a metal tube and should def hit above 5xx

I was on the dyno for the last pull of the night, but the Police called and shut it down before they got to do my 1st pull.
Wouldn't have been anything real special as I am basically stock.

we werent too concerned with getting the sheets at midnight when we still had to fix the gasket, so im waiting on Casey to get them from the shop. and dude was videoing everything so i should get some videos of it all too... :D
for now, ill just say that maybe quik was getting on to something with his crazy stock motor numbers.........

wow thats disapointing to see such low dyno numbers, ive seen 5.7s dyno way higher with a cam
Makes me think that maybe the cam is off a tooth.
i remember years ago when L92s first came out there was a local setup. It was TSP 408 shortblock, had L92s on it and a Senergy cam in it for the L92s. Had a mail order and it only dyno'd 420 rwhp.
im sure some would blame the tune but a tuner can only work with what parts were used. could always pull those heads off toss on some TF 235s, a 24x,24x cam with fast 102 and be well over 500 rwhp
Every dyno reads differently. Some say that Nelson's dyno is stingy. Other dyno operators output the numbers with a correction factor. I don't put much weight in dyno numbers, what it outputs at the track means more than anything. The dyno is nice if you always use the same one and reference it when you make modifications.

I always lean towards your way of thinking, I like to let track results do the talking. I think dynos are great and they definitely have their place, but I try not to get to hung up on their results.
Several years ago some friends of ours up here in DFW both had similar Mustangs, well they were always in pissing matches over their dyno results, but they never dynoed at the same place and I don't think the dynos were the same brand.
Even more interesting is the guy who always dynod like 75 to 100 more hp/tq (with less mods even, lol) got his but handed to him at the track by the other guy by at least 2-3 car lengths.
but didnt that 408 on 100 shot run a high 11? if so then the dyno numbers are backed up by the Et
i missed it :( but ill be hitting a DYNO SOON ENOUGH :)
