Im tossing the idea around, but im not sure what kinda paint to use also do i need to spray clear coat or how do ya do it? i was thinking krilon paint a bunch of light coats and like 4- light clear coats??? ne1 ever done it?

my friend just did his tails and he found spray on tint, not sure what its called, its more or less black and clear mixed spray paint, but it looks really good. he put on too many coats and they are really dark but still looks really good. i think he got it at autozone.

Night shade is orielly brand its junky autozone kind is good mine were pretty much legal as u get... Only two lite coats
black candy is what my buddy used on mine, he used to use just black base coat
i just used the night shades on mine real careful with the coats and a few coats of clear they turned out real nice i had them that way for about 2 yrs til i got tired of them and changed them back but mine never turned purple that i could tell ive heard people say theyve had that problem though.. but honestly if your looking for something cheap i had good luck with nighshade but mine were usually covered with dirt anyways
I've had good luck with the Nightshades too. I smoked and clear coated my tails about a year ago and they still look good.
Hehe I did too couple weeks ago. A lady in a beamer zoomed by me goin well above the speed limit but pulled my truck over instead! Made me mad. But I've used Nightshades and it does seem purple. So I went with regular black paint.Quote:

Looks good, but watch out for a jerky ass cop. Ive gotten a ticket for it. So I redid them a lil lighter.

I thought the same thing, but the cop told me they have to be able to see the reflective surface. I paid a buck forty for the ticket, and dont wanna pay that again.

I like the second ones better, just make sure they are not super cheap ones or the leds or halo rings will burn out within the first week and it will look goofy with only half your halos buring lol made that mistake
ya im torn between the 2, the led ones are pretty sic never seen any like that but the 100 more and the others would look pretty sic/clean on my truck
