thank god its till the 26 of feburary.. this give me more time to finish the truck and probably make it out there.
nelson could you post this event on rgvtruck forum,we would like to attend.
-snaks-
I'm bringing the bagpipes this year to drown out the accordians.
looking forward to it! Allen check your PM's
allen, homie, you gonna be doing any tuning the thursday or friday before the meet, im prolly leaving wednesday night so i can get a good tune on this pile.
the truck was limping last year so i just watched...all be damn if my truck will be down again this year (truck currently has 2 thrown rods lol). im doing my best to get the turd back together so i can run this go round.
honestly, no sure, especially with highly modded trucks, that can take all day/night. i might do a tweek here or there, but no full , himodded trucks, just too much time, i won't rush it.
get as much as you can tuned! but i can't tune the entire thing in one night, just too many things to do, i don't mind helping out though.
count me in!
Hope to be there this time. So much to do so little time. :)
im hoping to have the black hole there this year again. I have a long way to go on it in a little time.
can you get it running good and no issues, then we should have a little time to get it.
no vac leaks, make sure o2's are working, get your shifts dialed in, etc.
do you have a wideband in that truck? it really needs one if now.
i can't start from scratch and do a full tune on a highly modded truck, just tweeks in the amount of time i'll have.
so how strict is their tech?
not sure, their rules are listed on www.sanantonioraceway.com
i'm not gonna speak for them and say they are relaxed or strict, but they are fair, they just have to be sure to follow the rules, but i've seen relaxed situations.
Ill agree with allen. They are inbetween. Depends on the situation.. Just dont have trash in your bed lol. Think that was a issue last year.
They do have their limits, ask Mic.
Be sure you have steel valve stems in your drag slicks, got called on that one last year. You might beat that by tech'ing in with street tires on and then go put the slicks on.
Yeah, no deer corn in the bed, Alton.
Maybe someone can start a raceday topic with things the tech inspectors have pointed out in the past.
Having shaved door handles is another no-no.
I believe the steel valve stem rule is only if you're running tubes. If you have a true tubeless tire I cannot see the point of a steel valve stem unless they're afraid your going to make enough power to knock a stem out of the rim. If you have tubes, be sure you have the rim screws in, if you spin the tire on the rim you'll rip the valve stem out of the tube.
