I am guessin you dont just want a good sounding cam? you want good performance to I would hope...
I would look into something with around a 220 duration on a 112 LSA, Something like the TR/TSP220 or 224 both are proven cams and will sound good in the 4.8.. I wouldnt go any bigger than a 224 tho without a bigger converter..
yeah. i believe either would be ok with my ls6 springs. looking for a fairly choppy idle.
The TR220 has a pretty choppy idle in a 5.3 and so does the 224, Would sound slightly choppier in a 4.8
Heres a vid of my 5.3 with the TR220 on a 112.. Around 50 secs is when it warms up and you can really hear the lope..

Something like this 215/ 223 .604 / .610 112 LSA would sound pretty nasty in a 4.8, Not sure it would perform the greatest. But who knows Ive seen some good size duration and lift in some 4.8s..
ts 224 112 +2 is my vote, post a vid when done!
heres when i had my 4.8 cammed

This cam with 4.10 and no stall SUCKED BAD from a dig and the truck would jerk a little coming up on stops. I wouldnt recommend running anything similar to this cam in a 4.8 without a converter. It did good from a 25-35 mph roll and the sound turned LOTS of heads. Good luck on picking a cam and hope to see your video up soon.
i've got a brand new 2800-3000 stall sitting in my room. just getting around to putting it in is another haha
Not sure who's truck this is but sounds really good cam/stalled!! And he is running in the 12's.

Ugh idk what im gonna do. i really want a cam but thats alot of work putting it in and my stall in (I work alot and lazy ahah). I may just sell the stall and buy 100shot.
well shoot man atleast do the stall, even if u dont put a cam in right away. Thats what im doin for now and i still love it. But add the spray too, that always helps.lol
Tsp has a cam kit witch gets you the rite vavle springs, push rods, cam and so on for around 700... had their 220/220/.583 lift i think on a 113 lsa 3200 stall, got some headers and a tune made 375 to the ground
no just a lil 5.3
Sorry but ima have to call BS, unless u have the dyno sheet to post up..
i wonder what my truck would do in a 1/4mile. id like to see mid to high 13... hopefully
well never been to the track just pic of truck on dyno and a pic of the graph. only have one video of the truck racing a 10 ss camaro
