Most boring class you've ever taken?

Im sitting in my intro to psych class right now and this lady goes off on such wild tangents and stupid personal anecdotes. By far the most boring class Ive taken.

Calculus 2 or Statics and Dynamics. I'm a hands on type of engineer, I hate doing analytical work, though I'm good at it.

Yeah I hate it when people in class think they need to talk all the time and tell everyone their life story. It's always the older ladies that do it then the next thing ya know they're passed out!

Meteorology. It was an important one, but nothing puts me to sleep faster.

I love math(going to be a civil/mechanical engineer) and Ive made it through cal 3, statistics and both chems and none of them came even nearly as close as this retarded class. Im going to be an engineer, why the hell do I care about what meds to take if I have depression? Ill go to a doctor if I need something pertaining to my brain.

Macro Econ. I knew economics like the back of my hand before I ever took the class. I eventually just showed up for tests.

Colleges/Universities don't make you take classes like that to piss you off contrary to popular belief. They make you take them to be a more well rounded person after you graduate. If half the people understood that and went into the class with an open mind, the students would be a lot more knowledgeable in all aspects of their education IMO. Plus, they should be GPA boosters, if they're anything like the college I went to, they're all a "gimmie".

I understand what it is for, it doesnt lessen my boredom any though.

This particular class isnt a GPA booster since she is a very tough professor, she pulls questions out of thin air. Generally our tests are 80ish questions and out of that 6-8 are questions that werent in the book nor in the lecture. If it wasnt for that it would be alright. I still am managing an A average but Ive had to work for it. My wife took this class but with a different professor and she didnt even study and got an A. :pow:

It's a whole different story when you take a class that's not a "course requirement" and the professor expects the world from you. I had a few classes like that during my senior year while I had a massive Capstone project going on at a local power plant. Having a 5 credit major required course with a TON of work outside of class made it really hard when the other professors still expected so much, they should ease up in a case like that.

astronomy...the guy was monitone and basically whispered into the mike. he put 80% of the class to sleep in the first 45 minutes.

yeah, gimmie more money for this useless class

soils and range management...a whole semester of looking at talking about nothing else but dirt just dirt took the class on tues and thurs so it was an hour 15mins everytime they guy held us the full length most boring two days of my life and the lab was on friday from 12-5 where i got to open jars and feel the dirt

LMAO, that class would really bore the hell out of me as one of my main jobs is soils inspection and construction, Im already NICET Level III certified in soils, I dont need to be quizzed on soils PIs, liquid limits, gradation, lime pointd, wet ball and triaxles. I actually cant wait until I get to some of my more degree specific classes, those are going to be the easiest for me.

What makes classes so hard for me is I take them once a week so Im in there for almsot 3 hours at a time and the numbing factor that accompanies that is rediculous.

our psych class is fairly fun...mainly cause our professor is one of those just interesting people. I would have to say the most boring class Ive had so far is Intro to Restoration...although I hear trim class is worse...same teacher

I attended dozens of schools in Europe and the US, and from my experience any subject can be made interesting. If the education system was "perfect", there would be no boring classes.
