What do i need for Ls6 intake swap??

Hey guys im getting the materials together to do the ls6 intake swap on my truck, but i am a little confused.
I'v been on the computer all day reading posts and what not trying to figure out what all i really need. The more
i read, the more i get confused. Do i need to get an ls1 water pump? will the pulley on the ls1 water pump work
or do i need to use the truck one? also where can i find an idler pulley relocation bracket? if there is any thing else
i need that i please let me know. Thanks for any advice!!!

Theres a write up on the front page of the forum. yes you need a LS1 pump with a truck pulley or they sell spacers to put between pump & motor, as far as idler relocation, no just use a longer bolt in below the alternator and use some flat washers to space out idler, but if you read the thread on front page by Blue Cajun it tells you everything you need to know.

A newer truck pump works nice and a 10mm x 150mm works to move the idler pulley below the alternator.. And yes your stock upper radiator hose will work

So can i use my stock fuel rails and injectors?

click on the link skeet posted and it has everything you will need for the swap. it even has a list of parts which says you will need the ls6 fuel rails. of course if you had read it, you would know. there is also a really neat feature called search.

Yea im pretty sure i mentioned in my original post that i have been on the computer all day reading posts. and the write up on the home page was the first thing i ever read. and of course if YOU would have read it, it says to get fuel rails off a 97/98 vette for 99-03 trucks. not ls6 fuels rails. the ls6 wasn't even out in 1997-98, as it didn't come out untill 2001 fyi. So ANYWAYS for the guys on here that are generous enough to help me and not try to make me look like an idiot, is there any way i can get away with using my stock fuels rails and injectors? i'm on a really tight buget and i dont wanna buy anything that i really dont need too...

I made some brackets to fit my stock rails and injectors, works, but I'm going to upgrade to aftermarket rails and fuel pressure regulator soon. over on pt.net Kano did the swap and it shows his brackets he built to use stock rails, but he quickly upgraded due to the fact that aftermarket rails look much better than the truck rails sitting way up high! You will have to get creative to make a throttle cable bracket also, I used an 1/8 aluminum plate and cut it to how I wanted it because mine has to be spaced out due to the plate and BBK throttle body

You need to AXE the ls6 mani, buy this 92mm FAST I have.. :D

thanks guys im prob just gonna try to fab some brackets for the stock fuel rails till i get money to buy some different ones...what kind of hp/tq gains are you guys seein from the swap??
