Does anyone have a use for this? I can get pics when I pick up the truck, if anyone is interested.

I was thinking like 150 shipped. Got the truck back today (had wrong axle seals, took a day to get the right parts). My buddy picked it up, and forgot to grab the old stuff. The guy who did the work said the other stuff looked perfect, and I'm picking it up monday.

bearings are different. Go to Auburngear.com or something like that and they may list the bearing you need to use to put a NBS carrier in a OBS rear. BTW, the NBS rears are quite a bit beefier.

coming off the top of my head, the axle spline count changed in the 8.5 rears in trucks in '88, and in i believe '91 in suburbans and blazers.. when they went from the old school square to the early 90's body style.. the '88 up OBS and NBS axle spline counts are the same.. in '99 the 10 bolt rear end became the 8.6 from the 8.5.. it utilizes larger bearings on the carrier.. the ring and pinions are all the same for 8.5 and 8.6.. like mentioned above, you can use different bearings to make the carriers interchangeable..

Just got everything back from the shop. All the old stuff looks pretty much brand new (minus being covered in oil).

Ring gear is pressed on carrier.... not exactly sure how to get it off lol.
Should just unbolt it and whack it with a rubber hammer. The bolts are left hand threads
