if you use the stock radiator or a radiator from an OBS truck then you can use the stock overflow bottle.
if you swap to the 99+ radiator you have to get the coolant jug for that radiator. just swap to a 5.7 radiator imo i regret the hassle of swapping over.
250 for the efans an harness
100 for the radiator that i had to modify
92.00 for the coolant jug, radiator cap from the dealer bc no one had it
Thats what Im using. I got a radaitor for a 92 1 ton and have 05 efans.
damn, my buddy works at a body shop and i picked up a massive radiator from him that i got to fit. As far as fittings they are the same as my stocker. what makes the new radiators need the newer coolant bottle. Is there anything i should look for that would let me know if i can run the radiator i put in?
The new radiator does not have provisions for a filler cap/water neck.
since the newer pump has a heater out AND return can i use the old heater return fitting on the radiator (top near filler neck) for the steam line?
in my 98 k2500, i bought a radiator from Carquest Autoparts that came out of dallas, it cost me 162.00 and was all metal with brass tanks, engine oil and trans cooler, and was for a 98 4x4 with 7.4L v8, what they called a ''supercooler'' radiator. it actually spung a leak once, but i pulled it out and in 10 minute with a torch and a berillium soldering iron, it was fixed and only cost me the price of some lead soldering wire.
Just use the stock '92 radiator and matching overflow bottle. Then get the radiator hoses for a 99+. And yes you can use the old heater return inlet for the steam line IF you can find a big enough reducer. I couldnt but it looks like low91 did. It takes like a 1/2" to 1/4" reducer.
I plan on trying to run the radiator that i found, and use the heater return port on the radiator for my steam line. i cut out some of my front support to get more air to it.

Does anyone know the size of the hole and what type of thread for the engine oil input and output from the radiator?
Also anyone happen to know what size the engine cooler lines are from the 6.0 so i can order the correct AN line to route to the radiator. THANKS
The radiator has provisions for the engine oil and also transmission fluid. Just like my stock radiator had.
you can make anything work if you spend enough time walking around Home Depot...Hell I've seen Jack Daniels bottles used as coolant overflows before.
