i bought a 6.0 off ebay for $100 its a complet block minus the heads it says it had a slight knock when it was pulled but its still running good i plan on boring it out and makin it a 402 befor i even put it in my truck but the part im wondering about is i i will end up paying 100 for the motor and $520 in gas to pick it up in nevada is it worth this ?

so 620 bucks for a 6.0,that already has issues, id look closer to home man i can prolly get you one complete minus harness for 500......possibly
i just found out i can get it shipped to me for 250 so i would only have 355 invested in it

for 355, its a good deal, i bought a burn victim 6.0L out of a 2500HD and picked it up locally, i didn't go the stroker route but even still it makes for a cheap build up when you can find a good block cheap. If the engine has any kind of miles on it.
go ahead and get it bored .030'' over and build a 408ci stroker for the same money, you have alot more options when selecting pistons with that bore.
If you're going to build a 408 or 370, buy a seasoned factory block. The blocks that most people sell "new" are actually factory seconds and have something wrong with them somewhere that has to be fixed or may not affect anything. A seasoned block should alleviate any doubt about the quality of the finished product. Granted it won't be as pretty as a new one but it will be a better engine in the long run. :twocents:
