I am getting parts together for my lq4 98 chevy truck swap. What accessories and brackets do i use? Do I use the standard truck ones or cars or what? I want to keep the a/c.

You can use the lq4 accessories but to use the ac you have to either notch the frame or buy a relocator bracket to mount it high like Powers' kit(recommended).
Ok cool so if i get the relocation bracket I can use the other stock lq4 brackets with it too?
Yep. One thing I forgot to mention is the Powers kit uses the OBS compressor not the lq4 compressor.
Ok cool, if all else fails i'll try to get one but at almost $300 is there any other options i can use?

His email is in there somewhere.
Some fellas have made their own starting with an s10 bracket. Or you can notch your frame.
I used the Vette accessories & brackets, etc. Worked excellent. For the A/C, I would now use the Kwik A/C bracketry, that wasn't available when I did mine.
Ya the vette accessories would be great if you can afford them. The Kwik kit is really nice but its a little pricey AND you have to use a Sanden or other aftermarket compressor. Also, it says that it wont clear the truck water pump or DBW TB.
Maybe these will help you...

Whats up with the AC, hope you have the answers - LS1TECH
I have not seen any factory drive setups not work. I have put fbody drive in two trucks and have installed truck drive accessories in two others. The only issue always ends up being the a/c compressor. With the new mount being available to reuse the factor r4 compressor, just find which drive setup that its designed for and go with it.
i have been here a little while but i keep seeing OBS tossed around in threads what does this mean?
88-98 style body, old body style
ahh ok thanks for the info..
