Hello, here are a few pics of the ac brackets installed with the compressor.
Looks good . How much and where did you buy them?
Thanks, I am very pleased with the quality of them, I bought them directly from Josh Power's, I found his email add. over at Performancetrucks.net, and contacted him directly. They were $290 shipped to the door, laser cut aluminum brackets, aluminum spacers and stainless bolts.
looks good i need those A/c brackets for my 5.3L 82 c10. did it come with a new belt?
im using Josh's adapter plates, ill be using this kit also! im glad i get to see it bolted up before i buy it.
loking good man!
can we get a link please?
Looks good!
oops, double post
You can contact him at superpowers1980@yahoo.com, and no it didn't come with a belt, be he does supply a size for you.
thx,
good info
Looks awesome! I take it the belt runs off the water pump, alt, p/s... and not the factory 5 rib rear part of the crank pulley?
Yes that is correct.
Man that thing looks awesome. Looks factory IMO. Dont want to thread jack but I am lookin for an engine cover like that. Do you know where I might find one?
I got the 3 piece engine cover's from GM Parts Direct, for $95 shipped to the door. I thought it was a pretty good deal, I have seen people try to get $120 for used ones.
Thought that I would pop in here. Glad the brackets are working for you and nice project!
Feel free to PM me if you need more info on the bracket kit.
Josh
he does it per order, he doesnt keep any in stock. you place your order, pay for it. he then has it made an picks up w.e parts you pay for then ships them to you. he's a great seller imo..always replies to your questions an helps you as much as he can.
I used Joshes brackets as well, I had a little problem with the tensioner pulley lining it up, probably should have used a vette tensioner do to the angle the 5.3 tensioner had. Looks and runs great, nailed the throttle ,belt stayed on, works for me!
I am using an F-body tensioner, it works great!
no worries. I will not stop making the kit. If things go well this year, I will start stocking kits so that I can get them out to you guys faster.
As for the tensioner. can you take some close up pics from each side so everybody can see how the f-body tensioner is mounted with regards to the spacers and shims.
thanks guys and I am glad the brackets are working so well for you. Properly planned out you wont even need to crack your A/C lines which will save money, time and headaches!
Hello, I won't be able to take any pics for at least a week, I am bagging an s-10 for a friend, and I have my truck totally covered up at the moment. As soon as I get finished tubbing the firewall and notching for tierods I will uncover mine and get some pics though.
Nice looking set up.
what compressor does it use? looks kinda like the same one my tbi had on it
It is the same compressor that 88-95 used, and lot's of other's as well.
that works for me! i had just replaced all of that right before i started my swap. ill be ordering some right before summer time
hey draggin95 you wouldnt have a part number handy for those engine covers? i cant find them on gmpartsdirect.
Hello, yeah, but it will be tomorrow before I can get them for you.
thats fine. thanks
Here you go, here are the part number's for the 3 cover's. 12597908, 12598332, and 15006418. Hope this help's you.
I believe its called the "R4" compressor.
Will this kit work with a Camaro LS1 engine and brackets?
Does anybody make a bracket for the 96-98 compressor?
Yes it will fit the F-body accessories.

What all kind of compressors will it fit? i was just curious to see if I could use the same compressor off of a 99-06?
Hey draggin95, did you ever get some good pics of the tensioner clearance and alignment?
Thanks
the way it would have worked out on mine, all i had to do was trim the tensioner mount on the water pump but my sensor is in the way bc i didnt have the bracket on hand when deciding where to put it :( but no doubt its a Badass kit
Hey Guys,
Could someone please post some pics of Josh's brackets using the truck water pump and truck acc. brackets. I tried a dry run fitting with my tensioner and the spacers I received and realized there must be someone who has already figured these a/c brackets out. I have removed the 5.7 POS TBI from my Z71 and am waiting on a free weekend to place my bad to the bone 6.0 in my truck. It is already hot here in san antonio so my A/C hook up is not optional.
Thanks in advance,
Brian
I will take some pics today, and I am running the truck acc. on my 6.0, it will be after 5 though. It's finished but I haven't bought my belt yet.
that looks cool man; i will be getting myself a kit for my swap as well
