Today I ordered a 20,000k Hid Conversion Kit 9006 for my Silverado. It comes with 2 HID Bulbs, 2 Ballasts with cables, and mounting brackets. I didn't realize that the kit didn't come with a RELAY. Would it hurt if I installed it without the RELAY?

My kit doesnt have a relay. No problems here
20,000k???? what color is that? anyway yeah i just ordered 2 sets for my lows and fogs from ddm...pretty sure they dont come with a relay either but it should be fine
No relay, no problem. Relays only cost about 5 bucks anyway.
i have never had a relay on my setup, 12 or 13 months now. no problems at all
I have not had a relay on my kit for over a year now
a relay is only for when u have ur HIDs on ur high beam, u should be fine!
no relay on mine either no problems
also it helps if you have issues with auto-on headlights on startup. I have known of several when you fire the truck, one comes on, one doesn't, or even 'reduce engine power' because the initial shock messes with the computer. I used a Switch Smart relay, fixed all misfires and computer freak outs.
I never said it wasn't just to keep them on with the highs, but not the only reason that they are used.
i got u!
that works as well, but I just spent $40 and never looked back. Then I can start the truck like normal and never worry if they will fire or not, and not mess with parking brake everytime. Also, remote start, makes it easy in case you never set emergency brake.
The parking brake method does not work for the NBS trucks, I tried it but my lights still came on.
