WTF happened at Ft.Hood???

So who has seen the news today? Its bad enough those of us in the military are in harms way when we deploy, but now i have to worry about it at home:sadno: Is it just me or is it every other day something rediculous happens around the world. 11 bodies in some dudes house. WTF??? sorry for the rant, it just amazes me what we see in the news everyday. gary

i second that. wtf?? is goin on the worlds strongest military and we can't defend ourselves againist ourselves. just goes to proove we are our greatest fear.... obama remember that when your causing anarchy throughout the country.

actually the dude was born and raised in viginia....graduated from virginia tech and was in ROTC was trained at camp wells in DC and recieved poor scores all across the bored .....reason he went cookoo today was he recieved news he was being deployed and then proceded to shoot up a building.....ill refrain from my opinions though just stick to the facts :thumb:

..oh and i only know this cuz my old man is workin on the base and has been clocked off since 3 but still stuck in there :lol:

hope they dont keep ur pops there to late. im sure the base will be running kinda slow for a few days. its to bad people cant deal with things without ruining other people lives.

I kinda doubt it was that.....since he was a Major, I can fairly safely assume that with the Time In Service required for that Rank, that he was already deployed overseas at least once.

The issue, at least for me, is the constant and repetitive deployments of the SAME personnel. One deployment is fine. Two is still okay. When you get above that, it gets really old really fast. There are many people in the military today which I'm sure are on their fifth, or even SIXTH deployment since this mess started. That's one heck of a long time away from home and family. When I was deployed in '04-'05 I was gone from home for 14 months. I hear they've shortened that now, I'm guessing 6-9 months at a shot. It feels like longer than it is, regardless of the time.

My personal opinion is ONE deployment to an active overseas war zone should be enough for a 20-year military career. Possibly two deployments at the outside. That's all you can reasonably expect.

I haven't heard or seen the story you all are talking about, this is the first I've heard of it. However, there is NO good reason for turning on your fellow Soldiers like that. Hearing this just makes me want go kick the dude in the head, deceased or not.

He was a major because he was a Dr. Otherwise he never would have attained that rank. Army docs make decent money so they give them the rank in order to pay them. I don't think he had ever been deployed overseas. We need to borrow a Saudi swordsmen for his public beheading.

Drown the basterd in pig blood. Video it and give all the radicals a real reason to hate us. Or keep him alive and feed him bacon, pork chops and ham for the rest of his days. While his nights are tortured by something vile that I have not come up with yet. Death is too good of an option. I also have to say he is a terrorist. Nothing else he can be. Connections to radical iman + sympathy for suicide bombers = Terrorist.
