For christmas I plan on 'receiving' lol headers, y pipe, and all new exhaust. Anything anyone would like to recommend? I have always had flowmaster. But I think I want to try something new. I was thinking of pulling the cats as well. I want a deep aggressive tone at idle and extremely aggressive at wot. I dont like the glasspack sound so I dont have any idea what anything else sounds like. magnaflow, borla, corsa?
i have a huge magnaflow and its great but it sounds a little mild for my taste.. my friend had a camaro with a spintech exhaust and it sounded so good, and not too loud when cruising. I'm considering swapping mine
Pypes performance M-80....sounds(and looks!) practically like a magnaflow at idle but sounds a lot more pissed off and loud when you get on it! plus its about half the price....just my opinion....:thumb:
I dig my magnaflow, its the biggest one there is. It sounds good but is a little quiet until WOT. I think I may get a smaller one to put on my black truck and put the big one on my dually when I get it.
I love my good old flowmaster 40 series delta flow. It is pretty quiet at idle...a nice low grumble and at wot it's nice and loud. I've got the pacesetter LT's, ORY with no cats into a single 3" single delta flow out before the rear tire. It sounds damn good IMO.
+1. I have had the same 40 Series Flow on my truck for 8 years. I run the Pacesetter LTs, ORY, and no cats as well. Its a dual chamber, single in/dual out setup. It is loud. Some people don't like it--but they can kiss it cause its MY truck and I like it LOUD. :D

I have OBX lts, resonators and 2.5''Y, that all goes into a Force 2 chamber single in dual out muffler, with dual 2-1/4'' tails 90'd out behind the rear tires on either side. Its vicious sounding. Sounds like an SLP loudmouth exhaust but a little quieter at idle.
i got an aeroturbine muffler on my truck sounds pretty good with longtubes maybe try that
magnaflow is way to quiet IMO, and flow master is a little to tingy and overpriced and over rated in my mind. spintechs and v - force are the best sounding mufflers ive used so far.

Yeah, my magnaflow is a little quiet but that's what I was wanting. It's the biggest one available. With no cats it is plenty loud, I would like to get a smaller one though.
is there no way to run true duals? i see most people cut the cats off and run a y pipe.
You can run true duals. I had true duals before I put my LT's on. I switched to a single 3" because a single 3" will outflow dual 2.5's.Quote:

Iu like my 14in magnaflow its plenty loud but i cant wait till my long tubes and ory goes on to crank up the sound a little more! i vote magnaflow! :)
so far I like my spintech its mild at idie and it get wild at wot ill try and find the part number I have the box some where I used to have a flowmaster 40 delta dumped before the axel I perfer the spintech IMO
yea, we dont have inspections here in kansas but they do look alot like factory cats, and are damn near the same size in length. I went from the true dual bullets dumpped at the axle to the current setup and the backpressure does make a hell of a difference!
