235/60 is pretty narrow. 325/60 maybe?
I am with Justin. 235mm is waaaaay too skinny for what you are needing. Being 4WD, I would go with at least a 265/60. And you are switching from 4HI to 2HI after the 1-2 shift, right?Quote:

I would imagine killing 4wd after 2nd gear would put you closer to 12's by itself. That's a lot of extra mass to turn the entire 1/4...there's a reason drag cars are 2wd.
4hi is only rated at like 65mph, so you are putting A LOT of stress on it, but if that's what you want to run, you will need to have the speed you trap at, then use a online calculator of rear gear/trans gear/tire size/etc to figure it out. I'm guessing you need to lose about 1-1.5 inches on your diameter to gain a 1000 rpm trap.

The 12.59 @ 8 psi might sound good, but the truck feels at mid pull at the end.
My target is with this street set up low 12, 12.2 will be nice, but I just upgraded my brakes, and they say nothing under 20" rims, so now I have less options.

With a 4L60e 3.73 and 30.5" (285/60/17) tire diameter I trap ~4900rpm in 3rd. To really eek out a bit better time I should be running a slightly smaller diameter but would have to make them 4 DR's to get any traction at launch ;)

My guy runs 31' street tires... and 29.5" slicks... this is on a low power truck best .60 foot is 1.85 on the bottle.... he is in the 2.2X with street tires... My truck is fastest in high gear then any other.... no matter my .60 foots my trucks lazy in the front half of the track... and I cross the traps in 6000 range... I think smaller tire is going to help me alot also.... :naughty:Quote:
