Don't rent anything form U-Haul, you'll be lucky to make it to your destination.
Have a friend drive it there for you.
I should tell you that most of my friends don't belong in the driver seat of anything with a lot of power. Plus I would REALLY prefer to drive the moving truck with my truck on a trailer behind it.
Flat tow the truck, then.
I never thought of that, but I'd rather use it as a last resort. I would really prefer putting my truck on a tralier for the cross country trip. Any places that will rent me a trailer?
why can't you use a Uhaul autotransport? Your truck doesn't weigh more than 5300 lbs? Wheel base isn't longer than 133 inches. If track width is 75" or more you use their newer silver colored auto transport trailer. If they don't have that trailer on their lot they can have one brought to your local Uhaul store.
Contact a vehicle shipping company to see what their rates are to ship your truck to FL.
Or go buy a car trailer than sell it when you arrive at your destination.
You don't say. According to their website, they don't have anything that will accomodate my truck. I guess I should do a little more research. Thanks Red :doofus:
you can probably have it shipped open trailer for 400.00
They don't rent dollies or car haulers unless you rent a truck to pull it with. BTW, their equipment sucks too....ask PulseRedGTO if he still reads this stuff.
Don't tell them you are going to tow your truck or they will not rent it to you. When we towed my SRT-10 we told them it was for an old muscle car(can't remember what kind) and drove off. Unfortunately it was not wide enough so we exchanged it for their largest one and towed it home.

LOL might depend on who you get it from, no?
We used U-Haul. What company were you referring to when you wrote that they don't rent dollies or haulers without renting a truck from them? And when you wrote that they suck what company were you referring to.
Uhaul and Uhaul.
That was is 1991 or so.
Dang, 1991. You must be old, lol. j/k I am probably as old if not older. :beerchug:
I rented it about 2 years ago for transporting that SRT.
May just be regional.
I pulled my 05 cc about 500 miles with a uhaul dolly. The straps barely fit over my 17" stockers. I had to stop every 100 miles and tighten them up. I would not suggest you drive that far with one but I was stuck out of town and broke down so I didn't have much of a choice. If you go this route make sure you tell them the dolly is for a smaller car and get the widest dolly they have available.
Hey jetmech, what part of Fl u movin too? If its not to far I can prolly help u move furniture and all that good stuff...
