No pics but if you paint them, line-x them p2m.
whats a pocket flare...sounds kinda kinky!!!
a) line-x? what's that

Line-X is a brand of spray in bed liner.
I thought so...which is what I believe is in my bed
why would I paint the flares with that?
the stuff is a spray on bed liner designed so the bed doesnt get scratched and rust. You can through bricks on it and it doesnt do much to it. paint the rocker panels and flares with it so when u offroad they dont get all jacked up.

here is one that is paint to match

I'm actually thinking about doing the crease in door down...like if it was a 2 tone paint job. But that won't be til next spring. I wouldnt think about painting the flares, but that is a good idea.
I don't "offroad" much, but my buddies all live off gravel roads, and we have fires in fields. The chips are getting terrible.
What color would u 2 tone it if you were to do it
i'm going black. The 2 tone trucks start at crease...not the lower moldings. I want to remove moldings and bedline crease down.
Get someone to photochop it for you
check out my truck i have them color matched to the truck
Thanks for asking, Jon. I had no idea what pocket flares were either.
I'm not a fan of pocket flares but they do look good on your truck.
Pocket flares are my next purchase. Im gonna color match them though I think all the flat black stuff on my truck makes it look like an old cavalier without the bumpers painted :(
How much did those cost you? Bushwacker? Whats the difference between the stock and "pocket" flares?
i typically like the smooth ones better, but those look great on your truck!
pocket flares have the "bolts". These are from a company called prestige. They are MUCH cheaper then buschwacker, and stick out 3.75".
If memory serves correct, oem stick out 1.25", Bushwacker "factory" stick out like 1.75" , their pocket flares stick out 3.25" and cut-outs stick out 3.5"
The ONLY complaint i have with these, is that they aren't as "show-quality" as buschwacker. They don't hug the body lines as well, and only attach with the plastic clips. There is no double stick tape. There is a thin strip along the edges, but that is for paint protection only. I'm going to be getting the bottom half of truck line-x'd, so I'm not going to bother painting these, I'll be 2-tone soon enough...and it'll fill any 'gap' problems.
MUCH cheaper than Bushwacker! The spindle lift I bought for my 2wd pushed the front tires out past the fenders and I am not happy with the look. I still need to order some 1" spacers for the rear.
cant wait to see that 2 tone. It'll look nice :thumb:
it'll come off when I 2-tone. There were noticeable scratches/ color difference where the pieces were on the bed. I wetsanded/buffed/waxed, but in the right sun, you can still see where they were.
ah yeah mine was the same way. but the ones on my front doors started peeling off so i jus did the only rip and tear method.
I thought it was both simple and funny.
i think he has seen high-school musical 1 too many times :nutz:
I don't know what that is. Wanna explain it?
