Found one at a pawn shop. Snap On, click type, 3/8 drive, 15-75 ft lbs, new condition with case and original accuracy certification from 2006. They want $199. Said they would cover the sales tax but wont go any lower than $199 for now.
For you guys in the know, is that a good deal? I have a craftsman so I dont really "need" it but if its a good deal, I'll probably buy it.

It is a good deal. Get it calibrated as soon as you buy it. Mine is close to 30 years old and still works flawlessly, Snap-On FTW
looks like a good deal to me! the truck that comes by the school would rape us on the price for one of those ....i found this though if it helps :dancenana:

Im a craftsman guy all the way, just think they are best from a value standpoint given that I am a weekend wrencher at best. I do appreciate the nicer brands though and always have my eyes open for deals on used snap on, matco etc.

i like all my snap on stuff but i also got it at 50% off so yeah if it was like 100 off sticker price id probably go for it but for 60 idk

if ur a student at wyotech u get 50% all tools and certain boxes they have a limit but if ur cool with the snapon guy lets say the limit get a little higher lol also if u could sneak to the gm dealership and talk to the mac guy and have a cool teacher to sighn a waver u could get 50% off with them but u couldent let wyotech know cus of a contract with snap on
It's a good deal. Be aware the Snap-On TQ wrenches do not have a lifetime warranty like most of the rest of their stuff. Then again, neither does any other. I you already have one you might pass.

Yeah but the accuracy and the availability are not covered. Of course they haven't been around as long mainstream but a buddy bought an old SO TQ wrench that needed repair, it was not covered and could not be fixed because it was obsolete.Quote:
