got killed twice..
not good guys.. my nos setup didn't work.. the guy who install them todl me that the noids where too small.. they filled up with the pressure from the tank, and that keep them from working.. he said I need to replace them by bigger selenoids.. I think he is full of S.. buy anyways, I got beat by a 1989 4wd silverado with a 377ci stroker AND a jeep 6 cyl with a 70hp shot of nos.. my truck keep detonating every freaking shift! :@ the stroker timeslip in the 1/8 of mile was 6.28 and mine 6.30 close race, my truck hit the rev limiter, BOOM, then kept going in the next gear.. jeep timeslip 6.76 and mine 6.90 :@@ once again BOOOOM in every shift.. What can cause that issue?? I got vids.. will upload them soon.

Dude, those are some screaming fast trucks! under 7 seconds and they're in the 10s in the 1/4. I find those times incredible for what little they supposedly have done to them. I'd like to see them run. :thumb:
btw, 6.28 in the 1/8th equates to a sub 10 second run. This I'd really love to see out of the truck you're describing.
-
+1...low 6's in the 1/8 would beat most trucks on this website (I said most so you guys back off...you know who you are!)
-
Yeah - what kind of Jeep is running in the 6's :nutz:
-
Yep, those things are moving...didn't know you could mod a 6cyl jeep like that...
-
7.55 is my best in the 1/8. Those times seem crazy fast!
-
-
yeah, more likely the 330' mark instead of the 660'.
-
I am pretty sure that is also in sand too guys so it has to be 330
-
It's possible he's reading the slips wrong...
Anyway, looks like you have a decent list of mods. Is your tune for all the mods you're running? If not, might want to contact allen and have tune updated...assuming he would have to change timing a little for current setup if it hasn't been done in a while
Did you change heat range on plugs/gap when you added Juice?
Is it a wet/dry kit? If it's wet, might need bigger fuel jet. If it's dry, might need to move closer to air filter, further from maf, so the sensor has time to catch the gas.

hey guys take it easy!! the thing is we are runnind in 4LO and I'm pretty sure I'm reading the timeslips right! a I ran 6.05 in a DIRT not SAND like yesterdays track that I ran 6.30.. also I'm pretty sure we are running 1/8 of mile.. but keep in mind we are running in 4LOW so back off! LOL! j/k guys, so what do you think can be an issue for my detonations? btw, a couple of friends are running carb'ed 6.0's and they are hitting the 5.3XX times.. they are FAST.. there's also a VERY modded jeep 502ci running 3.37 sec in the sand drags..
-
hey guys, can the detonations be caused by timing in my tune? cause I was running without nos.. is there a device, I'm thinking MSD that would work on my LS engine that can retard the engine just when I will spray?? and have the tune with the normal timing set..?? I'm thinking seriously on driving all the way up to Tx to get a live tune on my truck.. I'm in Az but I think it'll be worth it..
-
wat the f'in stuff is that
dude that jeep can beat guys like john force and stuff i think u are reading ur slips wrong in that case mine is runnin .086 on the 1/8  just joking with u dude but dang those are fast hope they can go out to SAR and prove those numbers

I think he is talking about the Sand Drags. It is a 300 ft. dragstrip in the dirt. I race a Jeep at Sand Drags here that has a 5.3 in it. It runs 6 teens at like 70 mph.
-
sorry guys to misexplain the thread.. it is a 100meter race..
-
So close to 1/16 mile or 328 feet.
-
yup! will upload vids soon guys
