So I am fed up with my newly built trans that wont lockup......I am debating spending the money on a Finish line trans. My question is what level should I get....Not planin on doing anything crazy in the future. Just a Tr220

How about a low mileage, good running 60e from the yards? Put a shiftkit in it and servo and be done, if you're not planning on anything major in the future, it'll hold just fine.
Not trying to talk you out of an FLT, he's the best imo and that's who I use, but you're trying to get into a working trans and the best way might be that.
I think FLT has a great Level 2 or 3 with good upgrade for a great price if you're going FLT.
spend the money on an 80e
go overkill with the 5 cant go wrong hahah
I have access to a low mileage 2wd 80e out of a railroad truck. But I will need a conveter and those stalls are expensive. Wont I lose alot of power too.
highest recorded loss is like 30hp witch is nothing to the fact you will never have a prob with it again haha and go to cd they have stall converters for like 300 best price yet and i have never hured anything bad about them witch means alot
th400 is an option too. If you dont mind not having OD. Cheaper and holds gobbs of power.
its better for the shift you dont drop as many rpm
Ok so I was reading allens write up and I have 2 questions. I was wondering what I would have to do on the driveshaft. And I didnt quite understand the shift braket that he had listed in parts needed. Luckily for me A salvage yard we deal with specializes in our trucks.
Here is a speedo run with the 70e, if the 80e improves on the shifts dropping that would be awesome..

when i swaped from 60e to 80e i loved it
Nice vid Jon!
Buy the best FLT you can afford. You wont be disappointed. Or swap a 80e in from a yard.
1-2 shift has a better performance RPM drop on the 80E/THM400 gear ratios.
i would think the FLT level 4 would be good for just bolt on's
