Your local shop rates
OK guys and gals, it seems like we have members here all across the US, and it made me wonder, What are the shop rates in your area??
I'm in Wasilla, Alaska. My shop rate is $79.00/hr. Anchorage is one hour from here, and the shop rates there tend to be $10-$30/hr higher. Dealerships are even higher than that.

My shop rate is 80/hr Labour rate, For performance stuff my labour rate is kind of all over the place.

Mine are any where from low 90 to high 90 depending on dealer and mid 80 for regular shops. The caterpillar dealer where i worked was 130 in shop and closer to 150 an hour for road techs to come out to a site. Thats for the hudson valley new york.

$125 an hour here! No autos only copiers!
-
110.00 here at volvo.... lexus jag benz porshe acura i used to work at is 150.00
-
Body is always almost half of mechanical (not to be confused with body mechanical in which I also certified).
We are $85-89 for real repairs....as low as $50 for some maintenance work or accessory installation. We're cheap....even in the sticks up here we're cheap. We have five people that work on cars, three of them are halfs and the other two (me and one more guy) are GM World Class Certified (meaning our five people add up to be 3.5).....pretty rare for a dealer this small to have one, we have TWO. I've been GMWCT since June 2003 and the other guy has been GMWCT since 2007.
