Newb in Fort Worth

Howdy, Newb here from Fort Worth. I've got an 03 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT lifted on 37's. It has a little bit done to it, and I would like more. A buddy of mine (2001si3rr@) put me on to this site, so i figured I'd check it out. Forgive me if I am ignorant to a lot of stuff here. I have a decent base of automotive knowledge, but I'm not real performance savvy, and am new to the GM world. I am here to learn. I'm coming over from the minitruck world. My last truck was a 1970 Datsun 521 bagged. If anybody cares, I have been in the Marine Corps for the last ten yrs, and plan on being in for the long haul.

Thanks. Nothing crazy as far as mods, just the Stage 2 AFE Cold Air Intake, magnaflows, and a fresh COWL327 tune. Fresh as in maybe an hour old now.

I wanted to ask you last night and I forgot. What kind of difference am I gonna see going from this AFE cold air that i have now to a stock setup with a K&N drop in? I was seeing temps of 108 or so on your computer.

Wow....guess that's why I chose the Airaid tube (plastic) by itself with a K&N drop in....that and price.

I thought about trying to make my tube (plastic) work with a stock airbox. Not sure if it would work.

Seems to work pretty good Zach, took it out and beat on it a little. Feels like I lost a little on the bottom end of first, but once I get to about 3200 or so it comes alive. That might be the o2 trouble I was telling you about, that Dale had to tune around.

Nick,Your truck is running in closed loop and you really need to get those 02s replaced and then we can tune it rite.Your losing alot of power and drivablity because of them.
