SAR Meet Tools etc.

So I was thinking that certain tools might be needed to be brought. I guess this should be a list of things that people need to bring if they have them, or need to be posted up if they don't have them and need them.

- Air Tank (I am pretty sure SAR doesnt have an air tank to air up slicks if need be. Last time Jeff and I were there he went all over the place looking for one, and couldnt find it, so we borrowed someone's out of there trailer)

Thats all I can think of right now. Post up if you have ideas or tools you are bringing that you think people might need

i will have a jack and my tool box full of wrenches....im sure greg will come prepared...he always does...i think he was a boyscott

LOL, we need a 12v air compressor or truck mounted unit if everyone is going to use it.

i can bring a generator if needed

lol I dont think they will let you in with a grille. they do have delicious hamburgers there though

besides a few tools and a jack, ill def. have a chair, some drank and plenty of copenhagen:thumb:

yeah im gonne be bringin a cooler full of drinks also... sounds like we r gonna have one hell of a time... well some of us are.. lol

All vehicles must pass a technical and safety inspection prior to testing or making any runs. All track and safety rules will be strictly enforced. For clarifications or any questions concerning the rules check the IHRA rulebook, contact sar@sanantonioraceway.com or see a tech official in the Tech Area on the day of the event.
Any racer or crew member that consumes, ingests, or otherwise uses any substance that may adversely affect the safety or integrity of the event will be disqualified. Intoxicated individuals will not be allowed in the staging lanes or anywhere on the track (burnout/safety equipment areas, etc.) It is also at the track management’s discretion to disqualify any participant who’s conduct, behavior, and/or demeanor is such that they would operate a vehicle in a hazardous or un-sportsmanlike manner.
All cars with slicks must have a helmet and drive shaft loop
Down track timers/counters and stutter boxes are NOT ALLOWED in ANY class.
There are no break cards or refunds.

i have an airtank....i ll put the air chuck in it before i leave and bring a hose i guess :thumb:

I can bring an extra impact wrench and jackstands if needed. My compressor is big and a bit heavy :lol:

I have a giant DeWalt cordless impact i can bring...Greg used it before....does the job

Lawn chairs, beer, copenhagen. Sounds like I'm set.

do you have to have a driveshaft loop for drag radials?

a drive shaft loop is just something that will stop the driveshaft from hitting the track and thats it right. What im saying is, it doesnt have to be some fancy bull**** from summit.

If you have to have that guess I won't be racing just hang out and watching :sad:

You only need the loop if you're running slicks.

Since this is a private track rental day I am sure a lot of the IHRA rules will be overlooked. A DS loop is a piece of safety equipment we all should have even with street tires. Imagine going 50 MPH and the front end of the driveshaft breaks off and digs into the pavement, you become an olympic truck pole vaulter. :laugh:

Hey guys Im bringing 2 stockers to run on the track with and was wondering if I could use someones jacks and tools for a bit to put them on at the track? My compressor at my house is messed up and I really dont want to run the 20s in the rear down the track lol.
