Parting out an 06 4.8

All parts have 36k Miles on them and is off my 06 GMC. If the items look nasty in the pics is because I havent cleaned them up yet. Ill clean up before shipping.

I do have the flexplate and rear covers still on the motor left to take off but I was too lazy, Ill post them up tommorow or something.
I think thats all, If Im missing anything let me know lol. I dont have the coil packs or dist. Caps or any of that cause I used it with the 5.3.
I also have a stock 06 4.8 and a stock 07 5.3 Cam and 2 Sets of Stock Valve Springs. Each Cam and Set of valve Springs is 20$ Shipped. The 06 4.8 cam has 33k Miles on it and the 07 5.3 I believe has 40k.

Just to let you all know the 4.8 is being parted out because of a spun rod bearing. As far as I know the Heads and cam were NOT Damaged at all. And obviously the accessories are on the outside of the engine so they are fine.

I doubt Ill sell the oil pan because of the spun bearing issue.

Yeah it was pretty lopey for the 4.8 it sounded like a beast lol. I like my new 114 Better though

what else would u need with the cam besides springs

Thats all I ran with the cam was the LS6 springs. Id buy some pushrods to be extra safe.

Dont the 862s flow the same at the 706 heads? If someone were to use the heads on the camswap to save time of changing springs of course...

You should buy the heads too, that way you wont have to change springs lol. LS6 Springs are usually around 50$ and these come with rockers and rocker arms too! If you buy both it will save you some shipping maybe too:beerchug:. That is if the heads are the same and will work on your 5.3

Alrighty, ALT Sold, A/C Compressor and Power Steering pump w/ bracket SALE PENDING. Some Guy on PT. Net mentioned he needed the cam retainer plates and bolts and some stuff like that, so like I said if theres something I didn't list on this ad that you can think of, DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK!:lol: I might have it! As said above I will have pictures 2nite of everything for you all!

Ok I have all the accessories in the kitchen layed out on the floor ready to take a pic but my phone is dead. So Im gonna let it charge and finish taking off the Heads. I just got done undoing the rockers and rocker arms. Then I gotta go fish and get G's cam out of the 4.8 and Ill probably sell the lifters too if they arent messed up. How should I do this? Just unbolt the heads, remove lifters and lifter caps and then take the cam out?

Btw for you guys who wanted the accessories they honestly look good but Im gonna upload a pic anyways once Im done later 2nite...Srry for the delay

Im giving the messed up shortblock to my friend who helped me install, and I just found out the heads are 706s!!! WTF?

bummer on the block i guess the heads is kinda good? i dont know enough about the 4.8/5.3 heads

just pull the heads undo the lifter cups er retainers whatever, then just get a pen magnet and pull em out, id suggest doin this before pulling the cam so the lifters dont fall down in the motor.

I actually left the cam in there and took off the heads to unbolt the lifter cups and just grabbed em that way.
