no offense GG
YUP SOMETHING ABOUT ALL THE CLUTCHES WERE BURNT lol,IM LIKE I DONT KNOW,JUST HURRY UP...
BTW WHOS GG?
gasguzzler him being a tech
That would be brilliant if non-abused 4l60e's didn't break!
I hope your not letting the dealership fix your truck!
Hey Dale! I mean...come on. That's a generalization like saying everyone that looks like Ricky is :ghey:
:tvhaha:
It's been abused for sure. That alone cannot allow them to deny the claim (although the dealer can do what they want GM has responsibility). 3-4 goes out all the time on mid-mileage old man non-abused trucks. Tell them to make the proof in writing the exact type of abuse and its direct cause for a specific failure if they try to deny coverage. They cannot. Why? 'Cause a million other claims are filed with the same failure and no evidence or even accusation of abuse.
Bring it up here buddy....and despite Dale's advice  I'll fix it under warranty (because I have no real proof of abuse) and it will work until you blow it up again...
:ugh2:
Now Nathan.....The guy that put my trans in 100k miles back did a great job and the trans has been flawless and if mine was still under warranty i would bring it you fo sho!not every dealership has techs like you and if they took that long to tell him it was abused I would not let them fix it.My dealership never called me, they just fixed it and said come and get it!Thats the way it should be.
short version....if you have to pay for it.DONT let them fix it
Hahaha LOL I know Dale.
STFU then!:melissa::spit:
No you!
LOL
No There Going To Cover It,justhad To Hear Them Complain About The Maggy,no Cats, etc Etc.
Damm Tranny Only Had 4,900 Miles Haha- Weak!!!and Its Just A 4.8:)
Yeah!!!!!
moral of the story....HORRIBLE trannys the 60e are
Oh don't let the age fool you  bet he rolls the street every night lookin for tools to smear on the street :burnrub:
From all I hear, and having seen a truck go through 2 and on its third, why is it so hard for a new trans to be done. Or at least fix the common issues with them breaking now. Wouldn't they save money in the long run, instead of replacing them when they break under warranty?
:giveup:Yea im gonna have to do something my 60 in my 00 denali has been built 4 different times by 3 shops and its still got the weak ass 5.7
Still dollars and cents. Even though they're not tough, there are hundreds that have no issues for every one that does...think about how many have been made. There are also contractuation obligations.....stuff like yeah, we'll use this trans from supplier X for Y number of years or Z number of units. Breaking a deal like that costs a lot more than paying warranty claims. This is why the 65 and the 70 were developed (although they're isn't much difference in strenth IMO).
if your glove box says M32 i'll believe you....if it says M30 you have a 4L60E :D

I work at a dealership.
Yep....they're cracking down. Area reps even yell at you if your key look up events are higher in one month than usual. We have to file all code requests.
same here. we've been audited 3 times in 2 years
